As per the revised rules for the upcoming PGL CS2 Major 2024, a total of 24 teams will attend the tournament. These teams will qualify via the CS2 RMR 2024 starting 14th February.

The qualifying tournament will feature four separate regional qualifiers namely Europe A, Europe B, Americas and Asia.

The Asian qualifiers will feature eight teams qualified through minor regional qualifiers.

Europe and Americas RMRs will feature sixteen teams each. These spots will be filled with directly invited teams and teams qualified through close qualifiers, which in turn feature invited teams and teams qualified via open qualifiers.

As the RMRs draw close, PGL will send the invites to the teams and reveal them. As of 20th December 2024, PGL has announced the teams directly invited to the RMRs.

Directly Invited Teams:

(This is a developing story. The article will be updated as more teams are confirmed.)

The directly invited teams will be divided into Europe A and Europe B. These are the teams that qualified for the Legends stage at Blast.tv Paris Major 2022 and retained atleast three members of their core.

Since Natus Vincere, Liquid, Fnatic and Heroic have three new members, they have to qualify via the Closed Qualifiers. The invites for the Closed Qualifiers are based on the Valve’s Regional rankings.
