Team Secret has been a pretty dominant team in Dota 2, led by a machete-wielding, experienced, and wise in-game captain — Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, the team was on top of the world in the past years. Securing back-to-back top 3 finishes at The International, Secret has seen its glory days.

However, the DPC 2022-2023  Winter Tour has not been kind to the team as they got relegated to Division II for the upcoming Spring Tour.

The highs of Team Secret

For the past two years, Team Secret was on high which only a few teams could ever dream of achieving. The team secured multiple titles and top finishes across many tournaments. Despite their multiple titles, The International title always seems to elude them. Team Secret only placed a runner-up spot at the highest when it comes to The International.

The downfall of Team Secret

Coming into the 2022-2023 DPC season, Team Secret made some changes to their roster, their superstar midlaner Michał “Nisha” Jankowski parted ways with Team Secret, and Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan joined the team as the new midlaner.

Nisha was known to be the best core player in the world and Puppey had a talent for finding skilled unknown players. However, no one could predict that losing Nisha would make the team crumble.

Team Secret struggled to find wins going into the Winter Tour, only managing to take a win in their series against ITB. Shuffle. However, it was their resilient rival Nigma Galaxy, that landed Team Secret their final nail in the coffin.

After the conclusion of the Winter Tour, with a record of 1 win(s) and 6 loss(es), Team Secret along with ITB. Shuffle got relegated to Division II for the next tour.

Major changes for the future

Some sources reported that Team Secret is currently in talks with Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev as the new hard carry for the team. The sources also believed that RAMZES666 is unmotivated to build chemistry with his current teammates on Darkside because he already has a deal with Team Secret on the table.

Considering both his current team nor Team Secret didn’t qualify for the upcoming Lima Major, the scenario looks possible. It is also important to note that RAMZES666 is a close friend of both Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok and Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov who are currently playing position 3 and position 4 respectively on Team Secret.
