As the second week of DPC Division I concludes for the Western Europe region, Team Liquid have continued on with their undefeated streak becoming the second team to qualify for the upcoming Lima Major.

Display Of Dominance

After winning their longest series against the current Ti champions Tundra, Team Liquid started the second week of the Winter Tour by going up against Entity in which they secured a quick 2-0 victory. They secured another 2-0 victory against ITB before ending the week with another 2-0 victory against Nigma Galaxy.

Draft and Overview

In all of their series played this week ,Team Liquid has prioritised picking Tusk during the first phase of the drafting. It is usually played by Michał "Nisha" Jankowski on the midlane to dictate the tempo of the game, the only expectation to this was during the game 2 of the series against Nigma Galaxy when Samuel "Boxi" Svahn played Tusk as a roaming support. Nisha has been making a lot of plays as a midlane Tusk — snatching aegis and juking the enemies.

Team Liquid are currently playing fast paced games against their opponents. They usually play around Nisha after the end of the laning stage, utilising the power spike of Nisha’s midlane hero while their safelaner Michael "miCKe" Vu splits the map. In doing so, Team Liquid are giving their opponents two options — face them head on while trying to defend the objective or gank their farming core. Regardless of their opponent’s choice, Team Liquid always wins the trade.

This is then snowballed into getting more objectives for Team Liquid leaving their opponents to defend their base around the 30 minutes mark before conceding the match.

All for Matumbaman

In a recent interview, Team Liquid coach Blitz stated that everyone on his team is playing top tier Dota and continued on to say that he thinks that he has the five best players in the world. He also said that the 2-0(s) are for their former safelane player and Ti Champion Lasse "Matumbaman" Urpalainen. . Since Matumbaman only has 2 hours of free time everyday from his army services and Matumbaman uses it everyday to watch the team’s game thus they have to 2-0. He also hinted that Matumbaman is helping the team in some way.

A preview

Team Liquid have 2 Bo3 series left for their DPC 2022-2023 Winter Tour. Their next series is against Gaimin Gladiator. Team Liquid is given 1.24 odds due their recent performance on betting websites such as GG.Bet against Gaimin Gladiators with 3.87 odds.  After their series against Gaimin Gladiators Team Liquid will be playing against OG for their final series for DPC 2022-2023 Winter Tour.
