Dota Pro Circuit 2023 has finally begun and this season looks a lot more exciting than the previous one. There are new teams in every region and the roster changes that occurred during the transfer window have created some very interesting lineups.

Over the next 3 weeks, Dota 2 fans from around the world will be able to enjoy some top-class matches in six regions. And after that, they’ll be able to watch the Division II matches of each of those regions. In total, there will be around 6 weeks of competition, followed by a Major.

What Makes This Dota Pro Circuit Exciting

DPC 2023 features new teams like Shopify Rebellion, Darkside, Knights, Blacklist International, and Alliance.LATAM. All of these teams are eager to make a name for themselves and their rosters are full of world-class players.

In some cases, famous organizations like Evil Geniuses moved from their region to a different one and rebuilt their rosters from scratch. It’s going to be very interesting to see if they can adapt to the new environment and perform better than before.

The two regions that will generate the highest amount of interest are Western Europe and Eastern Europe. Both of them feature lots of great teams and offer just 4 and 3 Major spots. This means that some of the world’s best competitors will miss the first Major of the season and that may lead to roster changes.

The previous giants in Eastern Europe, Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere, are currently struggling to compete with the other top teams that were formed in the region. And it’s not just Team Spirit who will likely beat them. It’s at least two or three other teams who are fully capable of winning the regional competition.

One of them is BetBoom Team. Their roster features one of the best carry players in the world, Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko.

The number of Major slots for each region is as follows:

  • Western Europe: 4 slots
  • Eastern Europe: 3 slots
  • China: 4 slots
  • Southeast Asia: 3 slots
  • South America: 2 slots
  • North America: 2 slots
