Riot has just dropped their latest Dev Diaries including updates from all the major sectors concerning VALORANT for the latest patch 8.11. Here is everything that was covered, in one quick TLDR.

Map Pool Rotation Update

Breeze is out. (Cue confetti). And also Split. In their stead, Haven is making its way back into the map pool rotation this coming Patch 8.11. Also, Riot confirmed that a new map will be making its way into the map pool as well, the official 11th competitive map.

No updates on the new map have been given at this time but it will most likely be revealed at Masters Shanghai, so stay tuned for more updates.

Agent Balance Changes

Raze has been nerfed. Again. Apparently she’s still too strong in the eyes of the community and Riot will be taking steps to nerf her satchel mobility with the new upcoming patch. Three agents will also be receiving buffs: Iso, Neon, and Reyna.

Iso will be receiving tweaks to his Double Tap ability, specifically his shield. Neon will have buffs centered around her High Gear active ability, the slide. Lastly, Reyna will see changes to her kit centered around the idea of increasing her viability in more coordinated teamplay (Premier and Pro Play) while simultaneously toning down her strength in ranked games.

More Pink Skins

The design team have also revealed that while Mystbloom was a massive success as a bundle and included everything they envisioned for a Pink-centered skinline that the community has been requesting for, they have further ideas. Therefore, they have confirmed that further Pink-themed skins will be upcoming as well.

Moreover, the recently released gun, Outlaw, will also be receiving more skins in the future. One of the developers has hinted that an extremely popular skinline would be receiving an expansion – featuring a new Outlaw skin.

Replay System

It’s coming. They’re still working on it. Developers at Riot have revealed in this latest Dev Diary that complications regarding all the different elements that make up VALORANT have drastically increased the workload in creating a fully functional replay system.

Complications they outlined ranged from more hilarious visual glitches such as certain elements being displaced to more serious ones such as abilities not showing up at the correct timers on replays (an essential element for more coordinated teamplay preparation).
