The Danish Esports Organisation Astralis announce the addition of Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen as the Head Analyst for the roster. The team recently acquired Buzz as the final member of the roster. With the addition of HUNDEN to the coaching staff, Astralis has strengthened itself for the 2023 CSGO season.

The announcement of HUNDEN comes after a month after his unbanning by ESIC. He was away from the competitive scene for 20 months after serving an eight-month sentence for exploiting the coaching bug during his tenure as the coach for Heroic. Later, he received a ban for leaking confidential material to a rival organisation. ESIC decided to shorten his sentence after a settlement with ESIC.

During his time banned, Astralis and HUNDEN worked together, and they had decided to work with the player after the unbanning. He was also reportedly the replacement for Zonic at the end of 2021.

Finally, HUNDEN officially joined Astralis as the team's Head Analyst. With Dev1ce back, and pieces falling, Astralis will be looking to add another trophy to their cabin going into the 2023 season. On his journey and return to Astralis, he said: "- It has been a long process, and there have been many things we had to discuss with my role and everything I have been through. Now I'm just happy it's all in place, and I already feel how much it means to me to be up and running and to have talented people around me who trust and support me. "

The team will debut at the Blast Premier Spring Groups starting January 19th. With Buzz and Dev1ce, the Astralis 2023 CSGO roster will be as follows:

  • Andreas "Xyp9x" Hojsleth
  • Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander
  • Benjamin "BlameF" Bremer
  • Nicolai "Dev1ce" Reedtz
  • Christian "Buzz" Anderson
  • Peter "casle" Ardenskjold (Head Coach)

Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen (Head Analyst)
