The Open Qualifiers and the LCQ for the six spots at the Knights NA challengers concluded on 23rd January. The top-rated player in the whole qualifiers was The Nation's Daniel "Rossy" Abedrabbo. Rossy amassed a lot of praise for his performance in the Qualifiers. Rossy also caught the eye of Faze Clan. Knights directly invited Faze Clan to the Valorant NA Challengers. Ahead of Split 1 of the Challengers, Faze Clan will be looking to add Rossy as the fifth man of the Valorant roster.

The Nation and Rossy:

One of the most followed teams in the Qualifiers was The Nation. The Nation featured NA CS:GO Legend Stewie along with Wardell, Brax, Rossy and TiGG. CS:GO professional Ocean led the team as the coach along with minikerr. The Nation started its journey in the open qualifiers. They defeated ODU Monarchs, StarlessGG and OTF to qualify for the Top 32 bracket. Rossy, playing Flex, had an average ACS of 258 with a K:D of 1.87.

The Nation beat DMG, Dark Ratio and the Silk Road to face Break Thru. They lost to Break Thru 1-2. In the lower bracket, they met Dark Ratio but lost the final map 10-13 on Fracture. With the loss, Dark Ratio eliminated The Nation. Rossy completed the top 32 bracket with 220 ACS and 1.20 K:D.

The Nation quickly qualified through the LCQ bracket of 128. In the top 32, The Nation defeated Kitten Shelter, Soniqs, and 99 strength. The Nation lost to Squirtle Squad 2-1 going to the Lower Round. The Nation lost to Soniqs in the Lower Round to get eliminated from the competition. Rossy completed the LCQ with an ACS of 250 and a K:D of 1.43. Rossy thanked his teammates on The Nation for giving him a chance and confirmed his F/A. Soon after, Rossy updated that he has accepted an offer from a team.

Faze Clan and adding Rossy as the fifth.

Faze Clan has been one of the top 8 teams in the VCT since its inception. But the team failed to qualify for any international LAN event. They failed to secure a Valorant partnership. With the announcement of the Challengers, Faze Clan was one of the directly invited teams. The team already retained four players: Babybay, Dicey, Supamen and Poised. For the fifth player, Faze will be looking to pick up Rossy. Dot Esports George Geddes reported that Faze Clan is already in talks with Rossy to pick him as the fifth. Rossy hinted the leak might be true on his stream.

While this news is yet to be confirmed by either Faze or Rossy, there is a strong chance. Faze Clan, with Rossy, will be a strong team in their group and a contender to top the group. Faze Clan will face Shahzam-led G2 in the inaugural match of Split 1 of Knights NA Challengers.

With Rossy on the roster, Faze Clan Valorant will look as follows:

  • Andrej "BABYBAY" Francisty (Duelist)
  • Kevin "POISED" Ngo (Flex)
  • Quan "Dicey" Tran (Operator)
  • Phat "Supamen" Le (Controller)
  • Daniel "Rossy" Abedrabbo (Flex)
  • Addison "zecK" Gorzeck (Coach)
