This month's Valorant Dev Diaries featured Anna Donlan, Valorant's executive producer, and Andy Ho, the Game's Director, discussing Valorant 2023. The dev diaries featured a look ahead to the 2023 season featuring new game modes, new agents and maps, and the Premier Beta Launch. This follows the confirmation of Team skins coming to valorant in the upcoming month.

Team skins and what would they be?

The idea of team skins is not novel to Valorant. Even the game's MOBA cousin, League of Legends, features team skins. When the partnership rolled around, the idea of team skins was discussed, and Riot openly showcased their interest in team skins. They also expressed the same in their partnership introduction video.

Earlier today, ValorLeaks Mike tweeted an update on the same. The first set of team skin releases will be closer than we think. For starters, there will be a single weapon skin with many Variants. There might also be something similar to CDL, where teams get thier skin packs. These skins are currently in development and might roll out around the start of the VCT leagues.

Valorant 2023 Look Ahead // Dev Diaries rundown:

Along with balancing updates, in 2023, Valorant will feature a lot of new agents, maps, and skins throughout the year. Andy also hinted at adding multiple new game modes, along with one Team Deathmatch, later confirmed by Anna. Andy mentioned they'd also be working on ways and methods to address the toxicity and disruptive behavior. Finding ways to combat in-game problems and make valorant a safe place for everyone. Additionally, the game will have new unlockable content and ways to unlock it.

2023 will also see Premier's Beta and Global launch, an In-game 5v5 competitive system. Premier's closed beta testing in Brazil was a huge success, and Valorant devs will be working on making it available to everyone this year. The devs are working on bringing the game on multiple platforms, including consoles and Mobile.

With all the updates, game modes, weapon skins, agents, and maps, Valorant will have a great 2023.
