Day 2 of Tie-breakers

After Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators grabbed the first 2 spots early in the Lima Major, three teams (OG, Entity & Tundra) were stuck with a tied score of 4 wins and 3 losses to start the day.

With intense games of Dota from these strong teams, another long day of endless deadlock was expected. But, Tundra Esports proved everyone wrong by getting the better of OG & Entity to secure their spot at the Major. Following behind them, Entity went on to grab the last spot for the WEU region after defeating OG.

Draft & game analysis

Game 1

Game 1 was Tundra against OG. Both teams have gained a lot of experience from playing each other which made the drafting phase harder. They managed to push the other away from most comfort picks and Meta heroes. However, this had shown a new side of Tundra's versatility and perspective on the game. By picking an unorthodox Dragon Knight(DK) for their carry Oliver "skiter" Lepko, Tundra was able to pull off a win. OG struck back during the mid-game with ganks by "bzm", but their carry Naga Siren suffered as the game went on. The manta-style pick on "skiter" along with his AOE stun and splash damage destroyed the illusion hero, making the DK unkillable. Even though OG managed to drag out a 60-minute game, Tundra finally came out on top.

Game 2

Tundra's next opponent was Entity, a team they were no stranger to. When "Nine" dominated the mid-lane with his Zeus, it was Entity's support, Vladislav "Kataomi`" Semenov that proved troublesome for Tundra. His famous Treant Protector was able to stall out the game with constant pushing while simultaneously healing towers. Tundra tried to push mid several times but were forced to go into farm mode This made it easy for Entity to sneak in their first Roshan followed by a quick-witted smoke gank in the Dire jungle. But as the game goes on, Tundra's team fighting sense gets the better of Entity and causes their Terrorblade to 'die back' near the Roshan Pit.

Game 3

The final game was between OG and Entity for 4th and final spot in the Lima major for their region. Both teams started on equal footing during the laning stage. But an early rotation from "Kataomi`" in the mid-lane caused Entity's Invoker to gain the lead. After an early break-up of the laning stage, Alimzhan "watson" Islambekov followed up with his Nature's Prophet to secure kills. Even though "Taiga" was able to pull off clutch saves on Shadow Demon, Entity's superior team fight made OG tap out.

Conclusion

With the last days of the Winter Tour coming to an end, only 1 slot remains for the Lima Major. Many fairly new teams are looking to qualify, to bring a new look to the Dota2 scene.
