Dplus KIA won 2-0 against Liiv SANDBOX, and kt Rolster won 2-1 against Hanwha Life Esports on June 7, the first match day of Week 1 of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Split at LOL Park in Seoul, South Korea.

Game 1: KT wins

In a 31:34-long Game 1 against Hanwha Life Esports, kt Rolster won 12-6. KT top laner Kim "Kiin" Gi-in went 2/1/9 on Malphite; jungler Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan picked up Player of the Game honors for his 5/1/5 Viego; and bot laner Kim "Aiming" Ha-ram and support Son "Lehends" Si-woo finished 2/1/3 on Ezreal and 1/1/8 on Yuumi. In the loss, HLE mid laner Kim "ZEKA" Geon-woo nabbed a 4/0/1 Ahri performance. LCK Player of the Game: KT Cuzz, 100 points

Game 2:  HLE wins

Hanwha Life Esports evened up their series against kt Rolster with a 21-8 win in 29:32 in Game 2. HLE ZEKA's Gragas picked up a 7/1/8 score and led in kills; jungler Kim "Clid" Tae-min finished 5/2/9 on Vi; while bot laner Park "Viper" Do-hyeon's Jinx and Kim "Life" Jeong-min's Blitzcrank were 5/1/8 and 3/3/11, respectively. KT took just two towers in the loss. LCK Player of the Game: HLE Life, 100 points

Game 3: KT wins

With a 10-2 win in 26:45 against Hanwha Life Esports in Game 3, kt Rolster won the first match of the 2023 LCK Summer Split. KT Kiin went 3/1/1 as Sion; Cuzz picked up Volibear and finished 2/1/6; mid laner Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong's Annie was 1/0/6; and Aiming and Lehends were 4/0/4 on Aphelios and 0/0/9 on Yuumi. HLE's only major objectives were two towers and a drake. LCK Player of the Game: KT Bdd, 100 points

Dplus KIA shut out Liiv SANDBOX 11-0 in a Game 1 that lasted 29:39. DK bot laner Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu led in kills and finished 4/0/4 on Draven with the support of Kim "Kellin" Hyeong-gyu's 0/0/10 (the champion's first appearance in the LCK); top laner Kim "Canna" Chang-dong went 2/0/4 on Sion; jungler Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu was 2/0/7 on Viego; and mid laner Heo "ShowMaker" Su added a 3/0/6 Annie performance. LSB found just one Rift Herald and two towers in the loss, and bot laner Park "Teddy" Jin-seong went 0/3/0 on Aphelios in his first LCK game after a split off. Game 2: DK wins

Dplus KIA swept Hanwha Life Esports with a 29:25-long Game 2 that they led 22-6 in kills. DK ShowMaker's Aurelion Sol finished with a massive 11/0/7 KDA; Canna went 2/0/8 as Poppy; Canyon was the POTG with a 2/0/16 Maokai score; and Deft and Kellin finished 6/4/10 on Lucian and 1/2/20 on Nami. LSB took three towers and one drake, and Teddy finished 4/4/2 on Varus. LCK Player of the Game: DK Canyon, 100 points
