The tournament will be a litmus test for Cloud9's new superstar roster, and if the roster can perform at a higher level, They'd solidify themselves as the threat for VCT 2023 Kickoff tournament. The second team people will have their eyes on will be the new Team Liquid, who would be in the race to upset Cloud9.

A likely tournament run will be Cloud9 vs. Team Liquid finals, and the EU/NA will be a good start for the VCT 2023 season.

100 Thieves have already looked strong, and with Cryocells, it'd be interesting to see how the team will fare amongst the teams. The tournament will be a good test for most teams and will be fun to watch.
