K/DA released the music video for “GIRLS” on Thursday, November 5. The collaboration with DJ Sona features Sophie Powers, Sorana and Royal & the Serpent. The video continues the rollout of “FIRESTARTER,” the EP that marked the virtual League of Legends group's return after nearly six years without new music.

Created in partnership with animation studio THE LINE, the video arrives on YouTube on its scheduled general release date. Riot's release schedule listed November 3 for its early premiere on Spotify. The song itself has been available since the EP launched on October 21; this week's release is the music video.

Watch the official “GIRLS” video below:

What Is GIRLS by K/DA and DJ Sona About?

The lyrics of “GIRLS” center on freedom, fun and irreverence. The chorus repeats the idea that girls do what they want, while the verses mix references to parties, fashion and impulsive behavior, such as trashing a house for fun.

Elsewhere, the song depicts characters who turn heads and set their own boundaries in relationships. The repeated chorus and wordless vocals reinforce the track's party atmosphere.

The credits released alongside the video list Sophie Powers and Sorana on vocals. Sorana Păcurar and Ryan Jillian Santiago wrote the lyrics and share songwriting credits with Jonathan Bach, Bas van Daalen and Mark Landon.

M-Phazes and Bas van Daalen produced the track. Tom Norris handled mixing, Dale Becker handled mastering, and Frequency contributed additional vocal production. Riot Games' music team served as executive producer.

GIRLS Completes the FIRESTARTER EP's Video Rollout

“GIRLS” is the fourth track on the four-song “FIRESTARTER” EP. The project kicked off with the “FIRESTARTER” music video, featuring MIYEON and SOYEON of i-dle, Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb.

The group followed it with a lyric video for “WATCH ME,” featuring Powers and Webb, and a visualizer for “NEVER GOING BACK,” performed by MIYEON and SOYEON. With the release of “GIRLS,” every track on the EP now has the accompanying video listed in the release schedule.

DJ Sona's involvement also coincides with new content in LoL. Riot unveiled DJ Sona Ultimate Remix, a new Mythic Variant with looks inspired by K/DA, HEARTSTEEL and True Damage.

K/DA to Perform at the Worlds 2026 Final

The group's next appearance will be onstage. K/DA is confirmed to perform alongside True Damage at the opening ceremony for the Worlds 2026 final, scheduled for November 14 at Barclays Center in New York.
