Riot Games unveiled DJ Sona Ultimate Remix on Tuesday, November 3, a new Mythic Variant for League of Legends inspired by three of its music projects: K/DA, HEARTSTEEL and True Damage. The skin is set to arrive in Patch 26.23, scheduled for November 18, 2026.

The announcement follows the release of "GIRLS (w/ DJ Sona)", a track from K/DA's new EP "FIRESTARTER" that brought the character back into the spotlight as part of Riot's music projects. Alongside the promotional artwork, Riot also shared a video preview of the skin.

DJ Sona Ultimate Remix Features Three Looks Inspired by Riot's Music Groups

The animated splash art released by Riot cycles through three versions of the character. In the HEARTSTEEL-inspired look, Sona wears a black outfit and yellow hood, surrounded by warm-colored effects. Her True Damage look features short hair, a silver jacket and neon-blue accents, while the K/DA version has a red-and-black outfit with purple effects.

The concept revisits the identity of the original DJ Sona, an Ultimate skin released in 2015 that allowed players to switch between three musical forms. Riot has not yet detailed whether the new variant will offer the same features, music or form-switching mechanics as the original.

When Does DJ Sona Ultimate Remix Release in LoL?

DJ Sona Ultimate Remix is coming in Patch 26.23, which Riot's official patch schedule lists for November 18, 2026. The skin was also announced for testing on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) on November 3.

That date is the planned release of the patch. Riot has not yet announced an exact time for the skin to become available in the Sanctum.

How to Get DJ Sona Ultimate Remix and How Much Does It Cost?

As a Mythic Variant, DJ Sona Ultimate Remix falls under the Sanctum system, where players use Ancient Sparks for a chance to obtain rewards. Unlike skins sold directly in the store, Mythic Variants are obtained through a dedicated banner in the Sanctum.

Under the current rules, each Ancient Spark costs 400 RP, and Mythic Variants are guaranteed by the 40th draw. That means players who need all 40 attempts could spend up to 16,000 RP. Anyone who obtains the skin earlier will spend less.

That figure is not a fixed price announced specifically for DJ Sona Ultimate Remix. Riot has not yet detailed any skin-specific conditions, how long its banner will be available or the exact date the banner will go live. More details may be confirmed in the Patch 26.23 notes.

New Skin Follows the Release of K/DA's GIRLS Featuring DJ Sona

The reveal comes amid the promotion of "GIRLS (w/ DJ Sona)", a song from K/DA's "FIRESTARTER" EP, released on October 21. The track features Sophie Powers, Sorana and Royal & The Serpent alongside DJ Sona.

Riot's previously announced schedule lists an early Spotify premiere for the "GIRLS" video on November 3, followed by a general video release on November 5. The song itself has been available since the EP's release.
