Following baseball games already means watching form, injuries, standings, and the postseason picture. Fortunately, we can use our baseball knowledge at the best MLB prediction market sites, which offer event contracts on individual games, divisions, awards, and the World Series.
So far, Kalshi, Polymarket US, and Crypto.com were our three picks for US traders. Each gave us a good reason to return, from Kalshi's vast baseball selection to the active markets we saw at Polymarket US. We'll explain how baseball contracts work, what we checked before choosing the sites, and the checks we make before trading.
This contract format should look familiar if you’ve already browsed through the best NFL prediction market sites. As opposed to trading on football outcomes, the focus here is trading on baseball events like division races, single games, awards and the World Series.
For example, at Kalshi, Polymarket US and Crypto.com, a prediction market on the World Series winner is listed among the available event contracts. You can also make a prediction on a division winner, whether a team qualifies for the playoffs and how many games will be won in a series or in the regular season, among other options. Note though that the selection of available contracts differs from one site to the next.
With the facilitation provided by these sites, buying a "Yes" contract confirms you are backing the event to happen. A "No" contract signifies that you believe the opposite outcome will take place. Usually, contracts at these sites trade between $0.01 and $0.99. Think of these contact prices as indicators of the market's implied probability. However, remember that the prices these sites display can be affected by both liquidity and the spreads offered.
As news breaks, such as injuries or sudden team performance improvements, at an MLB game, the prices go up or down. Once your prediction is confirmed to be correct, each share of your contract will be worth $1. Otherwise, the contract would close at $0.
Here’s what we found appealing about Kalshi, Polymarket US and Crypto.com MLB sites, plus one drawback we experienced:
Instead of writing about brands we already know, we used the sites extensively to see how each compared. We looked at MLB markets, types of contracts, how active trading was at each of the sites and our own general experience. Some takeaways from our visit to each MLB prediction exchange were:
Kalshi is easily among the top baseball trading sites in the United States because there's a lot to keep your eyes and hands busy in its pro baseball section. There were Futures, Win Totals, Awards (our favorite), Division, League Leader and Next Team markets. For awards, there were options such as NL Rookie of the Year Winner and AL MVP Winner.
Baseball traders in the United States can use both Kalshi's iOS and Android apps. We regularly return to Kalshi when we want to see which contracts have gone live since we last checked. The company states that it was the first exchange approved by the CFTC to offer event contracts. Sounds like a no-brainer, though. In fact, many basketball fans we've interviewed refer to the site as one of the best NBA prediction market sites.
When we looked at Polymarket US, we found not 10, but 30 markets active and a combined trading volume of $1.3 million. The baseball markets were separated into Games and Props. Individual matchups and themed markets like Longball Legends and Pitchers' Duel Multi were found in the Games segment.
Props featured contracts that were for longer-term events. Some of these are World Series winner, American League champion, National League champion and Division winners, with one example being the 2026 AL West Champion market.
Crypto.com is of more benefit to traders with an existing account. We bought baseball contracts through its app and there's also the option to trade via the website. It follows CFTC guidelines on event contracts trading, per the company's disclosure.
Hitting the baseball tab opens you up to a world of outcomes tied to individual games as well as long-term contracts, like the Pro Baseball National League Winner 2026. Note that this brand's availability in terms of event contracts varies state by state; therefore, check whether Crypto.com offers event contracts within your locality.
Sponsored by Crypto.com – Not investment advice. Trading prediction markets and crypto involves risk, including potential loss of your stake. Consider your risk tolerance before participating. Crypto.com connects U.S. users to CDNA (regulated by CFTC) for derivatives trading. CDNA membership required. Trading may not be suitable for all—you could lose your entire investment plus fees. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results. This is not a solicitation or recommendation to trade.
In all three of the websites we reviewed, baseball event contracts fell within the following sections:
| MLB market types | Description |
|---|---|
| World Series winner | Speculate which MLB team will win the championship title at the end of the season. |
| League and division winners | Predict which team wins the American League, National League, or a division such as the AL West or NL East. |
| Game winner | Predict which of the two competing MLB teams wins a specific game. |
| Team win totals | Trade predictions on whether a team finishes above or below a predetermined number of wins by the end of the season. |
| Awards markets | Guess which players will lead MLB in categories such as home runs, strikeouts, RBIs, or ERA. |
| League leaders | Forecast which players will lead MLB in categories such as home runs or strikeouts. |
| Player and game props | Make predictions on specific player performances or game events. |
We used many of the same checks from our best Formula 1 prediction market sites guide, but baseball required us to pay attention to market variety and trading activity. These were the checks we used:
The first aspect we focused on was market variety. While markets might not start and finish with just the winner of the World Series, established sites will offer more. Therefore, we looked for sites offering: individual games, division winners, awards, futures, team outcomes and other contracts that give baseball traders more ways to trade on information they have. Some of the sites that had several offerings were Kalshi, Polymarket US and Crypto.com.
We tried to ensure that anyone new to trading MLB events would feel welcome to guess than wonder. Each site allowed us to open a market, read a contract's rules and place trades. In particular, we paid attention to how quickly we could locate baseball markets, read up on a contract, get details about settlement and put down a position without endlessly searching for necessary information.
We double-checked the security measures stated on each of the sites so we could assure you that your funds, sensitive personal information and account details are well-protected before trading. To do this, we made sure the sites utilized trusted payment methods and various trading tools like two-factor authentication and responsible trading features, such as spending limits. We concluded the ranking process by looking at the user reviews submitted on various online forums by people who have used these sites.
Location was another check we couldn't ignore. We checked each site's regulatory info and state restrictions rather than assume that access was the same everywhere. Based on our findings, signing up on Kalshi, Polymarket US, and Crypto.com depends on your state, the site, and the contract you want to trade.
Based on what we found, these sites follow CFTC rules and are approved to offer prediction market trading in US states where they are allowed.
We checked for the same feature we used for our best soccer prediction market sites in the US. Being able to buy and sell as prices move was important to us, especially when baseball news changed our view before settlement.
Likewise, we reviewed trading activity on each site. More active markets usually make it easier to find buyers or sellers when we want to enter or leave a position. However, the price still depends on the market conditions at that moment.
Baseball knowledge is great, but you still need to pay attention to contract rules and know when to enter or exit a trade. These are some of the steps to take:
A Dodgers World Series contract, for example, should tell you exactly what counts as a winning outcome and which official results determine the settlement. Don't assume that two sites settle similar-looking contracts the same way.
Individual games give you a short window, which makes them easier to research than season-long futures. It's much easier to research the Yankees vs Red Sox matchup than trying to predict the World Series winner months ahead.
Before you buy a contract on a team, check the latest team news so you can know whether to enter a position or not. Before we placed a trade on our beloved Seattle Mariners we didn’t know that J.P Crawford was sitting out due to injury. Because of that news, the event price dove quickly, but we weren’t affected because we changed positions almost immediately.
If $50 is the max you are able to put down on an event, then it should not be exceeded no matter how promising a matchup it appears to be. For example, even though you'd like for it to be true that the Yankees will dominate the Tigers in a championship series, your max should not go above $50 just because it would be nice to make big money. As many people know, baseball can surprise you and just because a statistic indicates something doesn't mean it is going to hold true.
Check first that you qualify. You must pass minimum age requirements and live in an allowed location. Once you fulfill those, the sign-up process on prediction markets looks something like this:
Click one of the banners on this page to bring you to your preferred site.
Locate the Sign Up or Join button.
The next step is to register. You’ll be asked to input your name, phone number and address and so on.
Complete any required verification (some sites require identity verification before you can deposit funds or start trading).
Select your preferred deposit option and add funds to your prediction market account.
Now your account is all set up. Visit the Sports section, choose baseball, examine the contracts and check the settlement rules. Make trades you feel good about. Note that the MLB markets can vary in selection throughout the season, so markets that look different from this guide might pop up instead.
As far as baseball options go, we’d absolutely put our money on Kalshi. From what we could see, their MLB section had a few more options than the other two. They had not only games and individual futures like awards and league leaders, but also divisions and even win totals for teams.
So, as the season goes on, there are still plenty of markets we could pick up on. We might dabble in Polymarket US because we saw they had a lively section of "Games & Props." We’d likely skip out on Crypto.com because we do not have a Crypto.com account already. And it goes without saying: know what your state's legal limits are and know the settlement rules for each site, in addition to the specific contracts you wish to trade, before buying. Click the banners below to compare the best markets by location.
Yes, but it depends on the market and where you're located. Top choices: 1. Kalshi, 2. Polymarket US and 3. Crypto.com, are allowed in the US.
The answer is there's no clear winner for the best prediction market sites for MLB trading. We like Kalshi for the variety of baseball prediction markets, Polymarket US excels with its Props & Games markets, while Crypto.com is ideal for existing traders using its trading app. Of these three top baseball prediction market sites, all follow CFTC rules and feature a few convenient tools.
That depends on the market as well as the season. During our review, we were able to see contracts on the World Series winner, league champions, single games, team win totals, awards and much more.
Yes, but that’s if you actually make a contract and the site permits exiting early. Our three picks let traders sell eligible positions before settlement. But the value at which they will settle is dependent on market value at the time you exit.
