The North American Esports organization Evil Geniuses Valorant is the third Americas representative attending VCT Masters Tokyo. After a rough start to the season, EG received immense backlash for the poor performance. The backlash was immense because EG had ten players on the roster and struggled to string together games. Mid-season, head coach Potter changed the roster, adding Demon1 to the roster and switching around the roles.

After joining the roster, Demon1 quickly became one of the best players to watch and cemented himself as one of the Best Jetts in NA, with Demon1 on the roster. EG went from a 5-1 record to a 5-4 to qualify for the playoffs.

EG took down NRG and Cloud9 in the playoffs to secure VCT Masters Tokyo. Demon1 was one of the frontrunners for EG and helped them secure a third-place finish at Masters Tokyo. Potter and EG players did their best to make the comeback possible, but Demon1 was a huge part of their success. Demon1 was the highest-rated player for EG throughout the series.

But going into Tokyo, it was a huge concern as Demon1 won't be able to play with EG. Many people were concerned about this, as Demon1 was integral to the team's success. Today, Evil Geniuses announced that Max "demon1" Mazanov would play with the EG squad at VCT Masters Tokyo. The team will play its first game against FUT Esports in three days.

The action will kick-off on 11th June. You can follow the VCT Twitter for all the updates regarding VCT Masters Tokyo.
