The Bali Major showcased the resurgence of the Western European Teams. The region had proved their dominance in the 2022-2023 DPC Season. Gaimin Gladiators, a Western European team, has won all the recent LANs showcasing the region’s dominance. However, recently at DreamLeague Season 20, other regions have stepped up the game.

Western European Teams Take Hold at The Bali Major

Gaimin was shaky during the initial stages of DreamLeague Season 20, but they won the tournament triumphing over BetBoom Team. At The Bali Major, the four teams from the Western European region are dominating their respective groups. During the start of The Bali Major, the competition seems levelled, but three days into the tournament, other regions have fallen off. However, the Western Europe region has once again proved its supremacy.

Team Liquid Dominates Group A

Team Liquid has a slow start in the tournament. However, unlike their run at DreamLeague Season 20, which saw the team getting eliminated after the group stages, Team Liquid found its footing quickly at this tournament and has stuck with it since then. Although they had two draws in their first two days against Shopify Rebellion and Invictus Gaming, Team Liquid also had clean sweeps during those days.

They had prevailed over teams like Blacklist Rivalry, Team Aster and recently, Team Spirit. They also tied the series with Tundra Esports, the undefeated team in WEU for the Summer Tour. Team Liquid is currently the top seed of Group A with four wins, three ties and no losses. The closest team to them is Beastcoast, with two wins, five ties and no losses.

Quest Esports Dominates Group B

Whereas Team Liquid dominates Group A, Quest Esports dominates Group B. The team is in a much tougher group than Team Liquid, consisting of Gaimin Gladiators, BetBoom Team and PSG.LGD Quest Esports. Despite being in a cutthroat group and up against titans, Quest performed marvellously.

Their debut match against Gaimin Gladiators at The Bali Major breaks the record for the third-longest match ever recorded in professional Dota 2 history. They tied that particular series. The team is the top seed in Group B, with five wins and two losses.

Gaimin Gladiators are still the Favourites

Team Liquid and Quest Esports may be showing dominance in the groups, but Gaimin Gladiators are slowly picking up their pace in the tournament. The team won against the likes of 9Pandaz and PSG.LGD. They are sitting comfortably in second place in Group B with three wins, four ties and no losses. Gaimin Gladiators has won all the LANs they attended this season thus far. Their upcoming match is against BetBoom Team
