The Bali Major will start in a few hours. The tournament is the last pit stop for the 2022-2023 DPC Season before the International 2023 season. Before DreamLeague Season 20, Western European teams dominated the DPC 2022-2023. However, in DreamLeague Season 20, the Titans started to show their cracks. Amongst their crumbles, the underdogs started to show their brilliance. However, despite their endeavours, Gaimin Gladiators still triumphed. Going into The Bali Major, many believed other regions had also stepped up the game to challenge their WEU titans. Here are the favourites for The Bali Major.

Gaimin Gladiators

Gaimin Gladiators are undefeated thus far. They had won every Tier 1 tournament they had attended. They are being regarded as “ The Team To Beast” in LANs. The team is currently unstoppable. Although they had a shaky start in DreamLeague Season 20, the team made up for it by winning the entire tournament.

Team Liquid

Team Liquid dominated their region and secured multiple top-seed finishes during LANs, always falling short of Gaimin Gladiators. However, in their recent tournament, the team crumbled under pressure and was the first to get eliminated from DreamLeague Season 20. Regardless of their results in the previous tournament, the team still have their star-studded roster led by Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi. Team Liquid is the King of the DPC 2022-2023 Season.

BetBoom Team

BetBoom Team caught everyone off guard during the run at DreamLeague Season 20. Despite being the last-minute-replacement team, BetBoom Team dominated the tournament and ended up in the runner spot, securing their ticket to The Riyadh Masters 2023. The team secured multiple top-seed finishes in their region during the 2022-2023 DPC Season.

However, their LANs results were disappointing. The team had shown they had got what it takes during DreamLeague Season 20, going the lengthy five games against Gaimin Gladiators.

PSG.LGD

Regardless of their roster, PSG.LGD is a powerhouse in the Chinese region. Despite yielding tremendous results in their region, the revamp PSG.LGD always falters during LANS until recently. The team found their footing in the recent DreamLeague tournament, securing a 3rd-place finish.

Team Aster

Team Aster with Sumail had been the talk of the town lately. Despite securing a third place in their region at the Summer Tour and an eighth-place finish at DreamLeague Season 20, Team Aster received the limelight due to Sumail’s dominating performance at his midlane. If the team can find a way to enable Sumail at this midlane, he can carry them under any circumstances.

After The Bali Major

The only tier 1 tournament left after The Bali Major is the Riyadh Masters 2023. The Riyadh Masters is part of the ESL One Pro Tour. It is not a  part of Valve’s official DPC Season. Featuring a whopping $ 15 million USD prize pool, The Riyadh Masters carry a debatable amount of prestige and honour as The International.
