It was an intense series between BetBoom Team and PSG.LGD. As both teams were undefeated thus far, the series was one of the most anticipated series for the second stage of groups in DreamLeague Season 20. The Eastern European teams have been dominating the second stages of groups at DreamLeague, but PSG.LGD, a Chinese powerhouse, is up for the challenge. However, despite being considered a close series, BetBoom Team completely dominated PSG.LGD; taking the series and dethroning PSG.LGD from the top seed. Although PSG.LGD tried their best, BetBoom Team proved their superiority. Here’s the quick action of what went down.

Game 1

BetBoom tried to play a slow-paced, methodical game in game 1 with a Storm Spirit midlane and a Pugna Support draft backed by a Faceless Void Safelane. PSG.LGD tried to counter BetBoom’s Storm Spirit midlane with a midlane Puck pick, offlane Timbersaw. They round off their draft with a safelane Alchemist.

Despite their overall game plan getting countered by PSGLGD, BetBoom played phenomenally. They abused their item timing and executed their window perfectly. The support duo from BetBoom also made marvellous rotations to enable their midlane Storm Spirit; as they tried to create space for their safelane Void to farm. Their offlane Doom also completely crushed PSGLGD’s safelane Alchemist. Despite going up against an Alchemist draft, BetBoom Team were ahead in gold networth. Although, PSG.LGD tried to come back into the game from some minor mistakes from BetBoom, but it wasn’t enough. At 34 minutes, BetBoom Team took game 1.

Game 2

PSG.LGD tried to play a fast-paced game with a Timbersaw midlane draft backed by a safelane Muerta and an offlane Beastmaster in game 2. BetBoom Team, on the other hand, went for a greedier draft with a tri-core of midlane Templer Assasin, safelane Morphling and an offlane Doom.

Although PSG.LGD tried to apply pressure during the laning; BetBoom was a step ahead. They dodge the pressure coming from PSG.LGD while only responding to crucial objectives. As they hit their item timing BetBoom Team, they force skirmishes from PSG.LGD and secure the objectives. Eventually, at 43 minutes, PSG.LGD tapped out from game 2, giving the series to BetBoom Team.

The Importance

BetBoom Team took the top seed from PSG.LGD by winning against them in DreamLeague’s Season 20 second stages of the group. However, in their following series, BetBoom lost to Talon Esports with a score of 2-1. Both teams are currently tied, with five wins and one loss each. However, both of them are qualified for the playoffs.
