PARI Universe 2026
Overview
PARI Universe is a Tier 1 Dota 2 online tournament series organized by the esports production company and tournament operator FISSURE and sponsored primarily by the betting platform PARI (with additional sponsorship from Spinnyx). The inaugural 2026 edition, also referred to as PARI Universe by FISSURE or PARI UNIVERSE, features a $250,000 USD prize pool and brings together top international and CIS/European teams. It continues FISSURE’s long-running Universe line of invitational events, rebranded under PARI sponsorship, and holds Liquipedia Tier 1 status. FISSURE, headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia (founded 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia, relocated 2024), produces high-quality broadcasts and has run numerous Dota 2, CS2, and other titles events. History
FISSURE’s Universe series originated in early 2023 as BetBoom Universe: Episode I — Comics Zone (online, $100,000 prize pool, won by Tundra Esports). It evolved into the FISSURE Universe episodes, typically online invitational events on European servers with prize pools ranging from $80,000 to $500,000, featuring 8–16 teams and formats mixing group stages (GSL or round-robin) with double-elimination playoffs. Key prior editions include Episode 2 (May 2024, Entity over OG), Episode 3 (August 2024, Team Falcons over Team Spirit), Episode 4 (March 2025, $500,000, BetBoom Team), Episode 5 (July 2025, Team Liquid), Episode 6 (August 2025, Team Falcons), Episode 7 (October 2025, HEROIC), and Episode 8 (January–February 2026, Aurora Gaming 3–2 over Team Spirit).
After a roughly seven-month hiatus following Episode 8—amid reported prize payment issues across FISSURE events—the series returned in October 2026 under the PARI Universe branding as its ninth overall Universe edition. The rebrand reflects PARI’s lead sponsorship. FISSURE has also run larger LAN events under the PLAYGROUND banner (e.g., $1,000,000 Belgrade events). PARI Universe marks a return to regular mid-tier Tier 1 online competition in the crowded 2026 Dota 2 calendar.
Format
The 2026 edition is a fully online tournament played on Europe West servers, running from 2026-10-22 to 2026-11-01. It features a 10-team main event field (nine direct invites plus one closed qualifier winner).
Group Stage (2026-10-22 to 2026-10-26): Two single round-robin groups of five teams each. All series are best-of-three (Bo3). The top four teams from each group advance to the playoffs (eight teams total); the bottom team in each group is eliminated.
Playoffs (2026-10-28 to 2026-11-01): Double-elimination bracket. All series are Bo3 except the Grand Final, which is best-of-five (Bo5).
A preceding Closed Qualifier (2026-10-05 to 2026-10-08, online, Europe West, C-tier) used an eight-team double-elimination bracket (Bo3 series, Bo5 Grand Final) to determine the final main-event spot; LEGION defeated Blasterbl 3–1 in the Grand Final.
Groups:
- Group A: 1w Team, GamerLegion, OG, Team Liquid, Team Yandex
- Group B: Astra Invicta, BetBoom Team, LEGION, PARIVISION, Team Spirit
Notable Editions
As the first edition under the PARI branding, the 2026 tournament stands out for assembling a strong field including recent high performers such as Team Yandex (top-ranked heading in), Team Spirit, Team Liquid, BetBoom Team, PARIVISION (coached by Puppey), OG, and new or rising sides like Astra Invicta (associated with Nightfall) and qualifier winners LEGION (featuring SabeRLighT). It follows FISSURE’s Episode 8 (Aurora’s narrow win over Spirit) and fills a gap after the organizer’s hiatus. The event partially overlaps other autumn tournaments, creating scheduling interest. Prior Universe editions gained note for competitive grand finals (e.g., Falcons’ repeated success, Liquid’s Episode 5 title) and consistent production quality that helped establish FISSURE as a regular Tier 1/2 operator.

Viewership & Impact
FISSURE Universe events have regularly drawn solid online audiences, with prior peaks ranging from approximately 100,000 to over 250,000 concurrent viewers (e.g., Episode 6 ~254k peak and 5.7M+ hours watched; Episode 4 ~200k peak and 9.4M+ hours; Episode 8 ~134k peak). Broadcasts are produced by FISSURE, with primary Russian-language coverage on Twitch (channel fissure_dota_ru and related) and multi-language options including English on platforms such as YouTube, Kick, and Twitch. Community casting is supported under FISSURE guidelines. The series contributes to the European/CIS online Tier 1 circuit, offering ranking points, prize money, and competitive practice between larger LAN majors and The International cycle. PARI sponsorship underscores growing betting-industry involvement in mid-to-high-tier Dota 2.
