Tundra Esports continues to impress as they claim victory in the lower bracket finals of the Europe Regional qualifiers for The International 2024. With this win, they secured the second spot for Western Europe, joining Team Entity to represent the region at The International 2024.

In a post-match interview, Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, hinted at some exciting new strategies and discussed his thoughts on the latest patch 7.36. He shared insights about experimenting with new builds and heroes, adding to the anticipation for his performance at The International 2024.

Will Tundra Esports Be The Next Two-Time TI Winner?

Tundra Esports, featuring a strong lineup of Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, Ivan "Pure~" Moskalenko, Edgar "9Class" Naltakian, and Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon, began their journey in the upper bracket with strong performances. They swiftly defeated NAVI Junior 2-0, followed by another 2-0 victory against Team Secret, pushing both teams into the lower bracket.

However, their winning streak hit a bump when they faced team Entity in the upper bracket finals, losing a closely contested series 2-1. This defeat sent them to the lower bracket finals where they encountered PSG Quest, a team dominating in the lower bracket until that point.

Despite the formidable challenge, Tundra Esports emerged victorious with a 2-1 win, securing their place at The International 2024. PSG Quest fought hard but couldn’t replicate their previous year's success in the regional qualifiers.

In a post-match interview, Topson hinted at unveiling some fresh and intriguing hero picks at The International and shared his insights on the latest major patch 7.36.

“There’s strength Morphling I have been testing out recently, hopefully coming to officials as well one of these days, we’ll see about that. ”

When asked why he didn’t pick the hero in the regional qualifiers, Topson explained, "There were a lot of opportunities, even in the finals, but I think I was just too scared to even suggest it. There was just too much pressure to be the first player to try strength Morphling." he said with a laugh.

Regarding patch 7.36 and the introduction of facets, Topson expressed his enthusiasm and noted areas for improvement. "I am enjoying it, but there’s still a lot of balancing to do. Some facets feel completely useless, leaving you without many viable options. But the idea is cool, and with some tweaks or buffs, it could provide more strategic choices."

Topson's presence at The International adds a unique flavor, as he consistently delivers the exciting content fans crave. His unique talent and unconventional hero picks keep the game fresh and innovative. This marks the third time Tundra Esports qualifies for The International, including their victory in 2022 when they lifted the Aegis, and their less successful run in 2023 where they placed 13th-16th.
