Another team has fallen victim to PSG Quest's dominance in the lower bracket run for the International 2024 Western Europe qualifiers. In a dramatic repeat of last year, Team Secret faced a crushing 2-0 defeat at the hands of PSG Quest, resulting in Team Secret's painful elimination from the qualifiers.

This defeat also means that Clement "Puppey" Ivanov will miss The International for the second time in his career.

Team Secret started strong, defeating Mouz 2-0 in the Upper Bracket with a commanding performance. However, their momentum faltered against Tundra Esports, resulting in a 2-0 loss that sent them to the lower bracket. There, PSG Quest awaited, having just beaten Nigma Galaxy.

In a case of history repeating itself, Team Secret met PSG Quest in the lower bracket for the second consecutive year and fell 2-0. This marks only the second time Puppey has missed The International in his storied career. Puppey's streak of attending every TI since its inception in 2011, where he won the first Aegis of Champions with Natus Vincere, had already ended last year, and this year adds another absence to his record.

Known for resilience and innovative strategies, Puppey has had a remarkable career with numerous top finishes, including a first-place finish at TI1, a second-place finish at TI11, and a third-place at TI10. However, Team Secret has struggled this year with synergy and consistency, undergoing multiple roster changes that failed to deliver the desired results

Earlier today, Team Entity claimed the first spot for the Western Europe qualifiers, defeating Tundra 2-1 to secure their place. Tundra Esports still has another opportunity to qualify, but the upcoming battle for this spot promises to be highly competitive.

Meanwhile, PSG Quest continues to shine in the lower bracket, two games away from qualification. Tundra Esports awaits the winner of the PSG Quest vs. NAVI Junior matchup, with the victorious team advancing to the lower bracket finals on June 23rd. PSG Quest's consistent performance, have set them apart from their competitors in the lower bracket. The question is whether they can maintain this momentum and secure their place in The International 2024.

As the qualifiers unfold, the stakes continue to rise, and the competition intensifies. Will PSG Quest's lower bracket run lead to a triumphant qualification, or will another team seize the opportunity to advance? The journey to The International 2024 is heating up, and the excitement is far from over.
