Aurora's coach Lee "SunBhie" Jeong-jae released his Riyadh Masters 2024 tier list on X. Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming top the list reflecting their dominance this season.

Falcons won four major events in 2024, showcasing remarkable consistency despite the doubts surrounding MENA’s power level as a region. Xtreme Gaming, while winning two events, has surged in popularity since Wang "Ame" Chunyu’s return to professional Dota 2. Also, Xtreme’s recent partnership with Weibo Gaming further boosted its profile.

Latecomers challenge top spots in SunBhie's Riyadh Master 2024 tier list

Team Spirit and Gaimin Gladiators occupy the A tier as late-season risers. Spirit, mirroring their last year run, started slow but recently triumphed at the 1win Series Dota 2 Summer tournament. Gaimin rebounded in May, finally securing a top-three finish after a rocky start to 2024. These two teams found decent form after patch 7.36 shook the meta while introducing new features to Dota 2.

SunBhie placed twelve teams in the B tier, including BetBoom Team, Azure Ray, OG, and PSG Quest. In the meantime, MOUZ, Blacklist International, and beastcoast rounded out the bottom tier. Despite performing decently locally, these teams failed to deliver results in international events, only showing brief moments of brilliance here and there.

SunBhie's own team, Aurora, was absent from the Riyadh Masters 2024 tier list. While the team's social media hinted at a possible oversight, it wouldn't be unlike the coach to keep his cards close to his chest. Aurora has shown steady improvement since acquiring Artem "lorenof" Melnick in March. The team secured spots in both Riyadh Masters 2024 and TI2024, two of the year's most prestigious events.

The Riyadh Masters 2024 runs from July 4 to July 21. As a qualifier team, Aurora begins in the play-in event, facing off against Azure Ray, HEROIC, MOUZ, nouns, and PSG Quest in Group B. To advance to the main Group Stage, Aurora must secure a top-three finish in their group.
