David "Parker" Nicho Flores  and his former team Heroic separated on sour terms. Heroic was the first South American team to win an International Dota 2 event and Parker was voted MVP at PGL Wallachia Season 2.

Despite the success, things took a negative turn after DreamLeague Season 24. Heroic benched Parker and he subsequently left the team.

The South American team pulled off an incredible comeback story at PGL Wallachia.  They managed to defeat Team Falcons 3-1 in an nail biting grand finals. It was the first time a South American team won an International LAN event and solidified Heroic as a team to watch.

The good times didn't last though. In the follow DreamLeague appearance, Heroic was among the first teams eliminated in the group stage. Things got worse at the recent qualifier for ESL Bangkok, with Parker abandoning his team at a critical fight.

Heroic released a statement on Parker, citing his lack of interest in helping the team win. They also accused him of having an unprofessional attitude towards his teammates. As a result of this move, Heroic will play with Yuma "Yuma" Langlet at BLAST Slam.

Players leave teams all the time in Esports. What is unusual in this situation is the way it happened. It is extremely rare for an organization to condemn a former player. Such an announcement will likely impact Parker's ability to find a team in the future.

Parker responds to Heroic's statement

In a public Facebook post, Parker shared his side of the story. He accused three of his former teammates and coach of causing problems. Parker stated that Igor "kaffs" Estevão gave him bad match ups in the past.

A significant amount of vitriol was aimed at Cedric "Davai Lama" Deckmyn. Flores stated that Davai Lama didn't practice enough and was disruptive during games while having poor performances.

It should be noted that this is not the first time Parker's actions have garnered attention. He had another infamous incident during the DreamLeague Season 22 qualifiers.

During the tournament, Steven "Stinger" Vargas disconnected during the match between Mad Kings and and Thunder Awaken. He was unable to reconnect as Valve had banned him live during the match. It was a surreal moment as I was the official caster at the time and did not expect I'd be commenting on a historic moment.

It turns out later that Parker had been using Stinger's account to practice. Mad Kings disbanded their Dota 2 roster less than three weeks after announcing them.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks. We wish Parker and Heroic all the best.
