Heroic set a record for the South American Dota 2 scene, becoming the first team to win an international Dota 2 tournament. Heroic beat Team Falcons 3-1 in the grand finals, after taking down Team Tundra 2-1 earlier in the day.

This is the best result for South America since it's introduction, a long hoped  for dream for the region.

The final day for Heroic was a grueling test of endurance for the team. They started with a best of three against Team Tundra which went the distance. The first game lasted for over an hour with the South American team taking the victory. A slip-up in game two cost them the victory but Heroic bounced back strong in the last game of the series.

Taking down Tundra was a challenge in itself, but the team then had to play Team Falcons, the tournament favorites and the squad who sent them to the Lower Bracket.

The series started off with the longest game of the day. Falcons won it in the end but it featured some incredible fights, including a three against five base defense featuring support wielding a Divine Rapier.

Heroic were undeterred by their loss in game one and despite the already exhausting day, they managed to win the consecutive three games, giving South America a long awaited LAN victory.

For their victory, Heroic takes USD $300,000 home. The team's next performance will be at DreamLeague season 24, starting on October 27th.
