The Copper Box Arena is ready! Tomorrow, June 21, Americas representative Leviatán will face VALORANT’s final boss — Paper Rex — in the Bo5 Masters London 2026 Grand Finals

Let’s see what the Grand Finals day has in store for us.

Paper Rex - Second Masters Trophy Incoming?

Paper Rex entered Masters London as the Pacific first seed and the clear favorites to win the whole event. Their dominant opening game against Leviatán further cemented that status.

They used that momentum to take down Vitality and EDward Gaming, securing the Grand Finals in dominant fashion.

While Paper Rex’s style has always found success on the biggest VALORANT stages, the form of individuals has been the difference maker. Their ability to control the pace of a game is amplified by their individuals' ability to duel, making them look almost untouchable when they are winning.

Not to mention their resilience and experience playing on the big stage. Tomorrow, they enter their fourth international grand final and that alone should give them an edge over their opponents.

Leviatán - A New Era for South American VALORANT

Since LOUD lost the VCT LOCK//IN to Fnatic in 2023, South American VALORANT has failed to reach the same heights. That is, until today, when Leviatán ran through some of the best teams in the world to secure the first Grand Finals for the region in three years.

Since Neon has joined the roster, Leviatán have not looked back. They placed second in the Americas after a dominant Playoff run. At London, they took down NRG and Global Esports to secure Playoffs. And after a loss to Paper Rex in the opening round, bounced back to make a dominant lower bracket run to secure the Playoffs.

The key has been their ability to secure early advantages and use their teamwork to convert them to round and map wins. Not to mention the success of their retakes.

While tomorrow will be an uphill battle for them, given their previous h2h loss and gap in experience. But, they have the perfect ingredients to put on a show and upset the favorites.

Paper Rex vs. Leviatán Preview and Predictions

Both these squads play a similar brand of VALORANT, they both like to use their fast tempo style to flood sites and overwhelm the opponent. Both squads use their superior mechanical prowess efficiently to snowball maps.

The last time these two squads faced each other, Paper Rex, despite starting Ascent on defense, played aggressively, not allowing Leviatán to set up, disrupting the young squad’s gameplan and making them uncomfortable.

Leviatán did mount a comeback on the second map, but Paper Rex’s ability to scrimmage and still clutch out rounds secured them the series.

If Leviatán want to win the game, they have to ensure they play to their strengths.  If they repeat the same mistake of playing into Paper Rex’s hands, they will have a hard time again tomorrow.

Map Veto

With Paper Rex coming from the upper bracket, they get a veto advantage, which gives them an upper hand in the series. Naturally, they would get rid of Haven and Pearl, the two maps they feel the most uncomfortable with. They will pick Breeze as the first map. Leviatán should pick Ascent.

Prediction: Who Wins Masters London?

With the map veto advantage and the difference in experience, we expect Paper Rex to secure the series 3-1. That said, the momentum and confidence Leviatán have is much greater than their previous outing and the team could prove deadly if underestimated.
