Paper Rex has announced the return of ace duelist Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie to the active roster.

The announcement brings joy to the fans of Paper Rex. The Pacific star was supposed to miss the next two years of competition due to mandatory military service.

Jinggg’s temporary retirement was announced by Paper Rex during their VALORANT Champions 2023 run. The news also made the team’s 2nd place finish even more emotional as Jinggg might never get the chance again to compete on that stage.

Following the tournament, Jinggg was moved to the reserve roster and PRX announced Monyet as a replacement.

Obviously with a team like Paper Rex, there is an adjustment period. Monyet and Paper Rex did well, but could not match the level of synergy and play as the previous iteration of the team.

Despite the learning curve, they placed second in VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024 and followed it with a 3rd place finish at VALORANT Masters Madrid 2024.

While the team played extremely well for the little adjustment time they had with their new player, they and the crowd definitely missed Jinggg in the server.

Today, Paper Rex announced Jinggg return for VCT Pacific Split 1. The young pro’s military service was exempted due to a chronic medical condition that requires regular attention.

Fortunately, this condition does not bar him from competing professionally in VALORANT.

After the recent developments, Monyet has moved to a reserve role and Jinggg has joined the active roster with a 2026 contract.

With the aforementioned changes, the Paper Rex squad for VCT Pacific Split 1 will be as follows:

Paper Rex will return to stage with VCT Pacific Split 1 on April 7th. Follow the team's run on Strafe

Team Vitality CEO Neo: "For Us to be a Global Leader Means Being a Contender at EWC"

Team Vitality remains one of the most influential and well-known esports organizations to date. The Paris-based org fields over 20 esports teams in various esports, though their immensely impressive results in Counter-Strike take center stage.  Being one of the organizations present at Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, we managed to speak with Fabien "Neo" Devide, Co-Founder and CEO of the Hive, just after an interview with Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, at the opening press conference at EWC. Neo provided a ton of insight into the organization's participation at this year's edition of EWC in Paris. He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
