The roster shuffle for the 2024 Dota 2 professional scene has begun again after the end of ESL One Kuala Lumpur, and Christmas came early for the Dota 2 community. Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi, who had taken a year-long break from the professional Dota 2 scene, has returned to the scene and rejoined his former team, Nigma Galaxy. However, many fans are not surprised by the return of Miracle-, as he has been recently active in pubs.

Ups and Downs

Since its founding, Miracle- has been part of Nigma Galaxy. He was one of the key players on the team, attributing to much of the team’s success. However, every relationship has its ups and downs. Unfortunately for Nigma and him, the ups were short-lived.

Since its merger with Galaxy Racer, the team consistently failed to qualify for most LANs. Moreover, Nigma has yet to qualify for The Internationals since its founding. Before the start of the 2022 DPC Season, the team barely avoided relegation. However, during the next season, they were eventually relegated.

Regardless of their roster shuffles, the team wasn't able to live up to their previous performance. Thus, after many trials and errors, the player decided to take a break after the 2022 DPC Season.

However, during the 2023 DPC Season, Miracle- made a short return twice, once as a stand-in for Nigma Galaxy and once for Shopify Rebellion. Back then, he proved to everyone that he was still a star-carry people remembered.

Before his eventual return, Miracle climbed the European leaderboards, taking down many upcoming talents. Miracle- was regarded as the best Dota 2 player for his unparalleled mechanical skills.

What Now For Nigma?

The return of the team’s star carry is expected as there are a lot of empty seats for the team to fill in the coming days. Moreover, he will be playing alongside Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan back at his former team.

The duo has helped NGX to get out of relegations in the past. Both players belong to the same era and already have etched their names on the prestigious Aegis Of Champions. With Amer’s return, the team has only three remaining slots to fill for the upcoming season.

Many fans speculated that Eastern European star Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev could be the team’s newest offlaner as he recently parted ways with his team 9 Pandas. Roman is known to venture into new regions.

For the support role, fans expect Team Secret’s legendary support player Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat to return to the pro play, joining NGX. The team’s former captain, Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi, is also expected to return to the team.  These are the exciting times to be a Nigma Galaxy fan, as the team will be unveiling their roster for the upcoming season in the following days.
