After releasing their entire Dota 2 roster, Tundra Esports has focused on rebuilding their Dota 2 lineup and recruited an impressive offlaner to their squad. Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov will be the new position three player for the squad. It's the first time Ivan has joined a new team in nine years.

MinD_ContRoL has been one of the most requested players other teams ask for whenever they fail to field their full roster for a tournament. In the past, he has competed with OG Esports, Team SMG, and Quest Esports for multiple major events.

MinD_ContRoL won't be playing with Kuroky for the first time in nine years

Since 2015 MinD_ContRoL has played with the same lineup, firstly with Team Liquid and later on Nigma Galaxy. His partnership with Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen, Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi, Maroun "GH" Merhej, and Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi led to the squad picking up the Aegis at The International 7, as well as a silver medal at The International 9.

For the last nine years, it seemed that the MinD_ContRoL and KuroKy duo were inseparable but it seems that is no longer the case. This isn't an isolated incident either, the former members of Shopify Rebellion have all gone their separate ways after multiple years together.

For the last few years, Nigma Galaxy hasn't been able to live up to expectations, failing to attend The International several years in a row and dropping out of Division I of the DPC. While the team hasn't looked good, the individual players are still held in high regard. When Team SMG was unable to bring in their full team for TI12, they requested MinD_ContRoL to join them instead.

It will be interesting to see how Tundra Esports performs in their debut at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024: WEU Closed Qualifier.  They have an impressive roster on paper but we've seen all-star lineups fail in the past.
