VCT Pacific 2024 Stage 1 Preview: Format, Schedule, Where to Watch and more

As the first international VALORANT Event has come to a close, and players have been given their due rest, it is now time for the regional VCT Pacific league to kick off.

VCT Pacific 2024 Stage 1 is set to begin on 6th April. And in this article, we will tell you all you need to know for the tournament.

Format:

  • The Group Stage of the VCT Pacific 2024 runs from April 6th to April 29th, 2024.
    • It consists of two single round-robin groups: Group Alpha with 5 teams and Group Omega with 6 teams.
    • Teams were drawn randomly from pots based on their Kickoff performance.
    • Group Alpha includes the Kickoff winner, while the runner-up is placed into Group Omega.
    • Teams will play cross-group matches, all of which are Bo3.
    • The top 3 teams from each group advance to the Playoffs, with group leaders having a bye into the Upper Bracket Semifinals.
    • Second and third-place teams from each group advance to the Knockout Round.
  • The Playoffs take place from May 3rd to May 12th, 2024, featuring a hybrid-elimination bracket.
    • Knockout Round matches are single-elimination, while Upper Bracket Semifinals onwards are double-elimination.
    • All matches are Bo3.
    • While the Lower Bracket Final & Grand Final are Bo5.
  • The top 3 teams from the Playoffs will qualify for Masters Shanghai.

Participating Teams:

The eleven teams in the Pacific League have been divided into two groups of five and six teams respectively, dubbed the Alpha and Omega Groups.

Each group consists of randomly drawn teams from different pots based on their VCT Pacific Kickoff performance:

  • Pot 1: Top 2 teams from Masters Madrid.
  • Pot 2: Playoff semi-finalists.
  • Pot 3: Teams that advanced to the Play-In.
  • Pot 4: Teams eliminated in group stage but not last in their groups.
  • Pot 5: Teams eliminated in group stage after finishing last.

All matches will begin on 5pm KST / 10am CEST / 1am PDT and 7pm KST / 12pm CEST / 3am PDT on the given match dates.

Playoffs:

The Playoffs bracket will start from the Knockout rounds on May 3rd, Friday. More information on the playoffs will be revealed as the tournament progresses further.

The Grand Finals will take place on May 12th, Sunday.
