Patch 7.34b saw the return of many old heroes, some pubs stompers and others skill-based heroes. Vengeful Spirit was among one of those returned heroes. The hero has fallen out of the meta for quite a long time. However, the recent patch updates make the heroes one of the most sought-after heroes in high-level and pro-level pubs. Moreover, the buffs make Vengeful Spirit versatile, making it one of the best heroes of Patch 7.34 and boosting her win rate.

The Buff

The hero received a minor buff with one of her abilities in Patch 7.34. Her Wave Of Terror now reduces the enemy’s total attack damage by 30% at the maximum level on top of reducing the enemy hero’s armour. This single buff makes the hero a crucial counter against meta heroes like Phantom Assasin and Legion Commander. Although Black King Bar heavily purges the debuff, it is a nuisance during the laning stage. Moreover, Vengeful received more buffs in 7.34b as the duration of her stun increased.

Item Build  & Winrate

Vengeful Spirit is a versatile hero in this new patch. The hero can either be an offlaner or a support. As an offlaner, the hero will start with stat items before getting a Falcon Blade during the laning stage. Players usually tend to get a Dragon Lance after their laning items. Sometimes, the Dragon Lance will get upgraded to Hurricane Pike, but sometimes, players will get Silver Edge and Aghanim’s Scepter, as they can have more impact in-game. After those items, the player will pick up a Black King Bar and go for a damage route, such as getting a Daedelus, Butterfly and Satanic. Aghanim’s Shard is a fantastic option for the hero as it gives the hero an additional stun target.

As a support, Vengeful Spirit will get components to build Solar Crest as the laning starts. After getting Solar Crest, the hero can get a Spirit Vessel. However, players tend to rush into Aghanim’s Scepter as it is a more efficient play. Venge has a 20.72% pick rate in high-level pubs with a 53.74% win rate.
