Clinkz is currently ruling the Dota 2 meta. He has emerged as one of the strongest carries in the game. In both Immortal games and the competitive scene. Clinkz is also a common pickup, showing up in about 19% of games.

Like it or not, the hero is the king of the meta right now. This makes it all the more important to know the best Clinkz Counters in Dota 2. Lucky for you, we have the best options to pick up, as well as which items to get

Wraith King

Clinkz thrives on bursting enemies down and then repositioning in a fight. This hit-and-run tactic is great against squishy targets, but significantly more risky against heroes who can tank Clinkz damage and chase him.

Wraith King is one of the few heroes that can shrug off burst damage. If he is knocked down, he simply gets back up again. Usually a lot angrier the second time around.

Another reason that Wraith King is such a good Clinkz counter is his item build. All of Clinkz damage is physical, and Wraith King builds multiple armor items. Phase Boots, and Assault Cuirass are common. And early Radiance provides 25% evasion, further negating Clinkz' damage.

Thanks to his high durability, and ability to chase Clinkz down, Wraith King is a great counter, winning the match up 53% of the time.

Phantom Lancer

If you're looking for a carry counter, then Phantom Lancer is your best bet to shut down an opposing Clinkz.

The current build includes an early Phylactery, providing even more slow for Spirit Lance. This is fantastic for catching fast moving opponents such as Clinkz. The created illusion also provides vision of Clinkz, further putting him at risk.

Once vision on Clinkz is established, Phantom Rush allows PL to quickly home in and beat him down. Clinkz can try to fight back, but Strafe is used, Phantom Lancer can simply use Doppelganger to dodge the damage and continue the group beatdown.

Clinkz occasionally buys Orchid and later on Bloodthorn to shut enemies down. However, that's not an option against Phantom Lancer. Manta Style is a core part of his build up, removing yet another option for Clinkz.

There is simply no counter play option for the Bone Fletcher, making Phantom Lancer one of the best Clinkz counters in Dota 2 patch 7.40b.

Broodmother

We've already included Broodmother as one of the best mid lane heroes this patch. She also doubles as a great pick to have against Clinkz.

One thing most carries need is time to farm items and get online. Clinkz requires perhaps more time than most carries. And one of the best pushers in the patch is Broodmother.

The hero regularly stomps mid, and uses that lane advantage to quickly mow down buildings and shut down the map. The smaller the map, the harder it becomes for Clinkz to farm or find pickoffs.

Broodmother isn't afraid of Clinkz in a fair fight either. With her passive miss chance, and huge lifesteal, Broodmother is more than enough to bring down the bony menace. Clinkz on the other hand, struggles to pin Brood down for a fight. This further tips the scales in mother's favor.

Broodmother is the most successful among Clinkz counter in Dota 2 patch 7.40b. She wins the match up more than 56% of the time.
