Team Spirit went from a long-lasting crisis straight to lifting the Aegis of Champions in 2026. Part of this accomplishment is directly related to Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov. Spirit dove deeper into their crisis after he left and, almost like magic, snapped out of it as soon as he returned as coach.

On top of Miposhka's miraculous presence, Team Spirit also shared detailed information about the stats of their support duo, their mid/off duo, and their star carry on the team's official Twitter profile (@TSpirit_Dota2).

Team Spirit's Secrets Laid Bare

Yatoro

Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk made sure Dota 2 fans worldwide would witness once again why he is a star player, getting a long list of Top 1 results throughout the tournament.

His best performance was against Team Liquid, where he managed to get Top 1 GPM, Top 1 kill count in one game, Top 1 KDA with more than one death, and two rampages with Shadow Fiend and Kez.

Yatoro completely dominated the stats game and, as a result, he was the main power that pushed Team Spirit to the Top and ended up as the only three-time TI champion as a player along with Collapse.

If you want to practice his hero pool, his three most picked heroes during the tournament were Nature's Prophet, Terrorblade and Shadow Fiend.

Larl and Collapse

Denis "Larl" Sigitov has matched many legends of Dota 2 by becoming a two-time TI Champion, and that was due to a variety of factors. First, he had the biggest hero pool of the tournament, with 13 different picks.

Second, he had huge fight participation, which resulted in the Top 1 Kill+Assist count. Finally, his hero pool consisted of Pangolier, Lina, and Earth Spirit, which was one of the strongest midlaners since the very beginning.

Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov joined Yatoro in carving his name a third time on the Aegis of Champions. Unlike his playmaking style on Magnus that stole the spotlight during his first Aegis lift, this time Collapse adapted to become a damage sponge.

He was the Top 1 player in terms of damage received, and his Top 3 picks from the hero pool reflect his role with three really beefy offlaners: Underlord, Undying, and Centaur Warrunner.

not me and rue

Alexey "not me" Kosmynin arrived a little late to the "party," and this was his first championship at The International. Supports made a big difference in the TI meta, and not me left his mark.

He had the Top 1 number of observers dewarded, Top 1 number of camps stacked, and Top 2 number of assists. His most picked heroes were Dark Willow, Windranger, and Rubick, so keep an eye on those if you play soft support.

Finally, Aleksandr "rue" Filin had to bear the burden of filling the spot of their former hard support and current coach, making split-second decisions and taking the best out of the least farm he could get.

He was the hard support with the most assists and the most combined kills and assists in the tournament. His most picked heroes include Clockwerk, Tusk, and Winter Wyvern, a mix of control and playmaking.

O Captain! My Captain!

Team Spirit won their third The International as an organization, and it is my firm belief that this would not have been possible without the return of Miposhka.

He seems to bring a mix of technical knowledge and stability, without which Team Spirit struggled for months since 2025. When added back to the mix, he not only laid the foundation for their return but also shot them straight to the top at The International 2026.

It is not rare to see players saying in interviews and documentaries that they eventually just ignore their coaches, but Miposhka delivered everything he could as a player, and that makes him probably the most respected coach in the scene today.

If you want to check how he brought his former teammates back to the top and see the backstage of Team Spirit's journey at TI 2026, check their vlog telling the story from their perspective in the video above.

Closing Thoughts

Every accomplishment has a series of small pieces working together, and Team Spirit's third championship is one of the best demonstrations of this concept in action to this day.

Yatoro was a blade that took no hostages and always found their enemies' weaknesses, while Larl was constantly next to his cores and ready to engage, getting the most kills and assists as a result.

Miposhka was the missing piece that pulled Spirit together.

Collapse adapted his aggressive style to be a tanky initiator that took as much damage as he could before his friends came in to deal damage. not me executed his role almost to perfection, making sure enemies had no vision and allies had extra camps to farm.

rue took the role from their former captain and learned from his advice to become always present and effective. Finally, Miposhka came back as the solid and trustworthy foundation that gave Spirit's roster their footing, allowing them to fight without fearing a lack of options.
