Virtus.pro and LGD Gaming Start Off the Post-TI Roster Shuffle

As usual, after The International, we get a wave of roster changes, and in 2026, the shuffle season started off with Virtus.pro and LGD Gaming dismissing their respective Dota 2 rosters.

Let's take a look at the situation for both teams and begin adding names to the free agent list for the next season in the professional Dota 2 circuit.

Virtus.pro Announces Their Roster's Departure on Telegram

The announcement mentions that, despite their hard work, Virtus.pro's now-former roster did not achieve the expected results and was dismissed with the organization's best wishes.

That said, these players join the list of free agents until further notice, which might come in the next month or so:

• Enzo "Timado" Gianoli
• Abed "Abed" Yusop
• Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek
• Kiryl "Hellscream" Lahutsik
• Tal "Fly" Aizik

On top of the announcement, VP also made it clear that they do not intend to leave professional Dota 2, probably to distance themselves from any possible rumors created after Heroic and Tundra left earlier this year.

LGD Gaming: Not Really Dismissed, Their time Ran Out

LGD Gaming also released their roster, but this was a different situation that was clarified via Twitter by their former manager Barbara "Babi" Bornia.

She announced that she was looking for a team on August 25, and people assumed she was the only one who was dismissed, but she explained that the whole team and staff had a contract that lasted until August 24 and was not renewed.

This adds another (almost) full roster of players to the list of free agents on the 2026/2027 professional circuit:

• Yuma "Yuma" Langlet
• Adrián "Wisper" Dobles
• Thiago "Thiolicor" de Oliveira Cordeiro
• Matheus "KJ" Santos Jungles Diniz

Despite their "less than optimal" results, LGD Gaming definitely made sure everyone knows they have the potential to go further among Tier 1 organizations, given that they still have not hit their performance ceiling.

Closing Thoughts

The shuffle season has officially begun, but no big organizations have talked about roster changes yet. So far, we know that Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling and Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan have been thinking about retiring, which means we might see announcements from Team Falcons and Nigma Galaxy in the near future.
