Winline Star Series is a media/streamer-focused Dota 2 tournament series organized by MVP Studio and sponsored by the Russian bookmaker Winline. It features teams captained by popular CIS streamers, content creators, and mixed with professional or high-MMR players. Matches are typically played in a customized Captain's Draft mode, with a distinctive "contract" system offering additional prize money for completing in-game challenges. The series launched in September 2025 with its inaugural Dota 2 edition (often referred to as Season 1 or simply Winline Star Series), featuring 8 teams and a 7 million RUB total prize pool (4 million for placements + 3 million contracts). It quickly established a format of group stages followed by double-elimination playoffs and Captain's Draft. Season 2 followed in January–February 2026 with an expanded field of 10 teams and a 3.5 million RUB pool (plus 1.5 million in contracts). Season 3 ran in May–June 2026 under the same 10-team, 3.5 million RUB structure. Season 4 was announced in late August 2026 and is scheduled for 10–19 September 2026, again with a 3.5 million RUB prize pool. Organizers noted a "completely new approach to roster construction" due to a widespread MMR reset. Parallel CS2 editions of the Star Series have also been held under the same branding and organizer. The series evolved from pure entertainment showmatches into a recurring CIS media staple, regularly featuring top streamers such as Rostislav_999, VooDooSh, NS, Ramzes666, Daxak, and others alongside pros.
Format
For the current edition, Winline Star Series Season 4 2026 (10–19 September 2026), the field consists of 10 teams of streamers and mixed players. It is a fully online tournament based in Russia. Exact group-stage structure follows the established series pattern of two groups of five teams in round-robin (typically Bo3), with the top teams advancing (top 2 per group often to upper bracket, next placements to lower bracket). Playoffs use a double-elimination bracket (Bo3 matches, Grand Final Bo5). All matches use a customized Captain's Draft game mode. A contract system distributes additional prize money (historically ~1.5 million RUB across 10 contracts of 150,000 RUB each) for completing in-game challenges. Rosters were assembled with a new approach following an MMR reset. Broadcasts are handled via Russian-language streams associated with Winline and MVP Studio production.

Season 1 (September 2025) launched the series successfully, crowning Rostik999's team and showcasing the contract system’s entertainment value. Season 2 (January–February 2026) expanded to 10 teams and saw Rostikfacekid dominate undefeated through groups and playoffs.
