After many rumours about the changes in the Team Secret roster, Team Secret finally announced their two new additions to the team. Team Secret announced their roster for the Spring Tour by adding two new players, Armel “Armel” Tabios and Daniyal “yamich” Lazebnyy. There were many rumours about a CIS talent joining the team. Although it is not the expected player, a CIS talent still does join the team. Team Secret also bought in a SEA talent along with the CIS player.

Disappointing Results

Team Secret placed 2nd at The Internationals 2022. However, the 2022-2023 DPC Winter Tour was not kind to them. They failed to keep up with the meta, and with a score of one win and six losses, Team Secret got relegated to Division II for the Spring Tour. Moreover, Team Secret also parted ways with two of their players before the Spring Tour. The two players also had a terrible season. Armel was part of the Finatic roster that got relegated. Eventually, Fanatic disbanded due to the poor results leaving Armel as a free player. Yamich’s team also placed at the bottom of groups at Div II NA in the Winter Tour.

Both of the players had been in Div I action in the past. However, they are not playing to their fullest potential at the moment, due to the circumstances.  Currently, Team Secret has only one goal, to get back to the top as soon as possible. Signing with Team Secret might give the players the nudge they needed to get back on the top.

Change in roles

The new two additions to the team come with some compromises for the team. Armel is a midlaner. Team Secret’s midlaner Miroslav “ BOOM” Bičan had been practising offlane heroes in pubs indicating that BOOM will be playing offlane and Armel will be the new midlaner for Team Secret. Team Secret’s liquipedia page and official announcement also suggest the same. This iteration of Team Secret could either be dawn or dusk for them.
