There were rumours about a potential shake-up in Team Secret at the end of the DPC Winter Tour. Recently, these rumours became more and more concrete, and the last known rumour was Team Secret’s offlaner Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok parting ways with Team Secret. A few hours ago, Team Secret posted an official announcement stating they are parting with their offlaner Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok and roaming support, Baqyt "Zayac" Emiljanov.

Results in short duration

Zayac first joined Team Secret as a staindin’ for the team’s support player Yazied “ YapzOr” Jaradat. Then officially joined when Yapzor announced he is taking a break from competitive play due to his health issues. Resolut1on joined a month later to replace Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang. The duo wanted to play alongside each other for quite a time, and together in Team Secret, they got their chance to do so.

With the duo’s help, Team Secret qualified for The International 2022 through the Last Chance Qualifiers and made a deep run in the tournament, finishing 2nd behind Tundra Esports.  Now with the duo parting ways with the team, there are whispers of Yapzor’s return. Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev could join Team Secret in the coming days, as there were rumours about it.

Old but Golden

The next potential destination for Reso is Old. G. It is likely that Zayac will follow Reso to Old. G as well. Proved by their time together in Team Secret, the duo have a chemistry rarely found between players. Earlier today, Old. G  announced the team won’t be playing with their co-founder and hard support player, Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and Arif “MSS” Anwar for the Spring Tour, leaving room for speculation. The potential lineup for Old. G for the Spring Tour could be :

  1. Volodymyr "Noone" Minenko
  2. Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen
  3. Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok
  4. Baqyt "Zayac" Emiljanov
  5. Sébastien "Ceb" Debs
