Team Falcons took down beastcoast in their seeding match, ensuring the start the playoffs in the upper bracket after a dicey 2-1 series.

With the series behind them, team captain Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu talked about how the series went down, what show the team watches together, and why Falcons played beastcoast in their seeding game.

The series was off to a rough start for Team Falcons. The opening game was a one sided stomp in favor of the South American stars.

Game 2 and 3 were a different story altogether. Falcons recovered well and left no openings to take the victory.

When asked how he felt about the match, Sneyking shared the pressure his team was under.

"I think the series was definitely a bit stressful. We didn't have the best start in terms of strategy and gameplay. We addressed it nicely in second and third game, coach had a pretty nice speech to rally the troops."

A lot of teams in Dota 2 bond over shared hobbies and some of that include watching the same shows.

Sneyking informed viewers that Falcons were inspired by an unlikely series, Ted Lasso.

The team uses the series as a way to move on and forget about a match and instead focus on the future.

"We've been watching Ted Lasso, so after game one, it's like goldfish memory. You just kinda have to forget about what happened and identify what went wrong and reset for next game."

Team Falcons let fate decide their opponent for seeding match

After taking first place in their group, Falcons had a choice in picking Aurora or beastcoast as their opponent for the seeding match.

Instead of picking which one they prefer, the team let a coin decide for them instead.

It's an unusual way to decide who you play against, but Sneyking stated that it's due to what happened to Andreas "Cr1t-" Nielsen in The International 11"

"I didn't know he is superstitious but apparently he is. Because of TI11, They were top of group A as Evil Geniuses, then they met the super underdogs of South America, then somehow as the favorites, they managed to 0-2, 0-2 and just leave the tournament as one of the favorites coming in."

EG was eliminated by South America in 2022. Thunder Awaken sent them to the lower bracket and beastcoast sent them to the airport.

Luckily for cr1t-, history didn't repeat and Falcons secured themselves a spot in the upper bracket.
