MOUZ Wins BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 Over Team Spirit

The first S-tier Counter-Strike 2 event since the historic IEM Cologne Major 2026 has crowned a new champion, and it's a familiar name wearing an unfamiliar shape. MOUZ, fresh off roster moves and role shuffles, stormed through Team Spirit in a commanding 3-1 series to lift the BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 trophy.

Dust2 Sets the Tone

Spirit opened the series on their own pick, Dust2, hoping to seize early momentum. Instead, the map slipped away almost immediately. MOUZ's CT side clicked into gear, building a 7-5 lead heading into the second half.

From there, a standout shooting display from Spinx sealed the deal, closing the map out 13-8 and putting MOUZ ahead 1-0.

If Dust2 was a warning sign for Spirit, Mirage was a full-blown crisis. MOUZ's pick turned into a near-perfect T-side performance, limiting Spirit to just 4 rounds in the entire first half.

Spirit's star man, donk, was kept eerily quiet throughout, unable to find any rhythm on the server. MOUZ closed it out 13-4, taking a commanding 2-0 series lead and leaving Spirit searching for answers.

Ancient Offers Brief Resistance

Spirit's pick of Ancient finally gave the series some tension. For the first time all match, Spirit managed to string together multiple rounds after the pistol, and the map stayed tight at 6-6 heading into the break.

This time, donk answered the call, leading an excellent CT-side surge that carried Spirit to a 13-9 win. The series moved to 2-1, and for a moment, a comeback felt possible.

Nuke Closes the Door

Any hope of a Spirit revival was short-lived. On Nuke, the same script from earlier maps repeated itself: a shaky pistol round for Spirit snowballed into a rough first half, with MOUZ again taking a 7-5 lead into the break.

Despite a brief wobble, MOUZ regrouped and closed out the map 13-10, sealing the series 3-1 and the championship along with it.

A Roster Bet That's Paying Off

MOUZ's title run comes on the back of a disappointing showing at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. But the team was already experimenting with roster changes before that, including handing the in-game leader role to xertioN. That decision already looks vindicated.

Meanwhile, new signing Oldřich "PR" Nový quietly delivered in his first major appearance with the team, racking up 57 kills across the series, just one behind donk's tally, without needing a highlight-reel performance to make his mark.

Shifting Power in CS2

Even though Team Vitality dominated the early months of the year, recent results suggest the throne is no longer secure.

With this win, MOUZ have firmly reinserted themselves among the esports' elite. The trophy is proof of concept for their gamble, and it's also a warning to the rest of the field: MOUZ are back, and they now carry a target on their backs heading into the final stretch of the year.
