Year after year, esports just keeps on growing. This time, it's none other than the Canadian Armed Forces who are joining in on the hype after unveiling their first-ever CS2 roster.

With their flaming roster revealed, the Canadian Armed Forces will now join a CS competition for military personnel aimed at expanding the reach of esports.

Canadian Armed Forces Joins Military Esports Competition

Canada's brand new Counter-Strike roster is part of a larger initiative called the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) Game Force, a recreational and competitive esports and gaming program within the Canadian Armed Forces.

With the team already selected, Canada will compete at the inaugural International Defence Esports Games 2026 (IDEG).

The tournament will be a global event for military personnel, pitting more than 40 allied countries (most yet to be revealed) across esports tournaments in Counter-Strike 2, Rocket League, iRacing, and VelociDrone. The event's finals will take place on October 9-11 at the British Arena in Sunderland, United Kingdom.

As for the Canadian Armed Forces CS2 roster, it will look as follows:

  • S1 Julius “JOOLIS” Fan
  • Avr Pedro “ZUUUKY” Duarte
  • Cpl Benjamin “DANGER” White
  • Cpl Andrew “PCFUL” Lau
  • Maj Johnny “CANCEL” Sheinfeld
  • Cpl Cameron “MCDAVID” Hammond (Sub)
  • Cpl Brendan “LIBRIM” Jatsura (Coach)
