The Argentinian esports organization Leviatán has participated in other games since its foundation in 2020. This year, they decided to step into the world of Dota 2 and assembled a surprising multinational squad. Leviatán has already joined the South American Dota 2 region as of yesterday, 18th March.

Leviatán's Dota 2 Roster

Samuel "Sammyboy" Anderson (Pos 1)

Damien "kpii" Chok (Pos 3)

Tommy "Taiga" Le (Pos 4)

Steven "StingeR" Vargas (Pos 5)

As of now, 4 of Leviatán's players have revealed. Of these 4, StingeR is the only player with experience in the SA region. The former beastcoast captain's insight is much-needed for this squad. On the other hand, Sammyboy is an NA player trying to make a name for himself outside his region and hopefully in international waters.

Kpii is an excellent offlaner and an essential player for Leviatán. He had a strong impact during his years at Newbee, especially at TI7, but gradually fell off. However, his peculiar plays and aegis steals are entertaining to watch, and we hope to see them in the future of Leviatán's matches.

Taiga is leaving the Dota 2 scene and retires
All the best to you Taiga.

Taiga's name in the roster reveal was the most surprising. The Major winner had been battling personal issues recently before departing from the Dota 2 pro scene, only to come back a month later. The last year has been quite a struggle for Taiga, and he's been working on it. The experience he gained from being in organizations like Liquid and OG has helped him improve his knowledge of the game. This will prove to be a crucial part of Leviatán.

Who will be Leviatán's Midlaner?

Would Stormstormer move to SA Dota 2?

Though the Dota 2 community is surprised by this unexpected group of players brought together, each has their unique skills. Leviatán may be concocting a plan to build a team like Falcons.

They still have to fill one slot for the midlane. There is some speculation that it could be Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau to take the spot. Leviatán has also played with Jean Pierre "Chris Luck" Salazar as a stand-in for the DreamLeague S23 SA Qualifiers but didn't qualify.

Jonathan Bryle "Bryle" De Guia is another midlaner that could possibly join Leviatán, also being Canadian, he would complete their multinational squad. Nothing has been confirmed for now.

Will Leviatán save the SA region?

Dota 2's SA region has not had any momentum since The International 2023. But few organizations, such as Heroic, are starting to see the potential in these players. Heroic is the no.1 team in the SA region for now. Could Leviatán beat them to represent SA Dota 2 and join the international competitors in the future?
