Recently, Tommy "Taiga" Le, the soft support player of OG, has been missing from active professional play since the start of the DPC Summer Tour. At first, OG used multiple standin' in Taiga’s place to continue their Summer Tour run, but as the sub-limit was nearly reached, fans began to wonder what had happened to Taiga and OG and will OG be disqualified for using too many subs.

The mysterious disappearance of Taiga drew many speculations and rumours. As those rumours and speculations grew, fans were getting concerned about the condition of the Norwegian soft support player. However, after quite a disappearance, a leaked Discord message from the man himself, Taiga, states he is on the road to recovery.

The Help and Rumours

Adam "Aramis" Moroz and Ben "Merlini" Wu helped OG during the first weeks of Taiga’s absence. Although Aramis and Merlini helped OG with their best efforts, the team failed to win their debut series for the Summer Tour, and the series followed.

Many rumours about Taiga’s disappearance started to spread on Twitter and Reddit. Some state the player had an ongoing beef with other players from the team, and some state OG and the player had a terrible fallout and are going to part ways. Most of the rumours also don’t make any sense whatsoever. As the community was prepared for another OG drama, Taiga took some time to stream.

He addressed the controversies surrounding him. However, it went worse and made the rumour get out of control.  Even some well-known personalities from the Dota 2 scene came to Taiga’s defence. With the team on the verge of getting relegated, a leaked Discord message gives fans hope and clears the bad air surrounding Taiga and OG.

The Hope

In the Discord message, Taiga stated that he has been struggling with anxiety and depression. It got worse after The International, impacting his performance. It ended with a positive note from Taiga. He said he is now in therapy to get better, and it has been helping him with his motivation.

Sadly, depression and anxiety issues are common in Dota 2 pro scene. Even the back-to-back Ti champion, Johan “Notail” Sundstein, had opened up about his struggles in an OG documentary. With a score of one win and two losses, OG is currently in fifth place at WEU Division I. OG can only use one more standin’ before they reach the substitution limit. OG hasn't commented on the matter. Moreover, Valve's decision will be needed to bend the DPC rules.
