Karmine Corp's supremacy over Movistar KOI continues! The French side ran over the Spaniards in the Lower Bracket Finals clash at the 2026 LEC Spring Playoffs, and will now face G2 Esports for the title.

With the win Karmine Corp secured the final LEC spot at MSI 2026, marking the first time the organization will get to attend the prestigious tournament.

A One-Sided Rivalry: KC Sweep MKOI

Coming into this match, Karmine Corp had won their last four consecutive matches against Movistar KOI. Despite this being one of the most exciting rivalries in modern League of Legends, it's one that has been quite one-sided lately, and today proved to be no different.

After missing out on First Stand earlier this year, KC were eager to return to the international stage once more. Though they kicked off to a slow start in the series, KC managed to consistently outplay MKOI in teamfights to secure the all-important Game 1 win.

From then on, the French side never let up. A couple of far more comfortable games saw Karmine Corp make quick work of their rivals in the end (far quicker than anyone would have expected), sweeping Movistar KOI to set up a rematch against G2 in the Grand Finals.

Perhaps more importantly, though, KC's win secured the squad the second and final LEC spot at MSI 2026. With such a load now off their shoulders, Karmine Corp will need to be quick to prepare their final bout of the Spring season if they have any hopes of lifting their second-ever LEC trophy.

More Questions Than Answers for Movistar KOI

While Karmine Corp make travel preparations to head to South Korea for MSI, Movistar KOI are left wondering where it all went wrong.

The team's start Mid Laner, Joseph "Jojopyun" Pyun, had a torrid showing against KC despite looking like a true MVP candidate all split long. Over in Top Lane and Jungle, meanwhile, Alex "Myrwn" Pastor and Javier "Elyoya" Prades looked incapable of keeping up with their KC counterparts in Kim "Canna" Chang-dong and Martin "Yike" Sundelin throughout the series.

Though the team's disappointing exit cannot be attributed to a single player, the truth is that Movistar KOI may be forced to look for answers outside their current squad. If the goal is to fight for titles, then a firepower upgrade could be on the horizon for MKOI.
