Before Cloud9 take the stage for the final week of games at the 2026 LCS Spring Playoffs, it's time to celebrate their veteran Support player. Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme was just crowned MVP of the 2026 LCS Spring Split, making him only the third Support player ever to receive the honor in LCS history.
Vulcan's Flawless Split Leads to the MVP
To illustrate just how important this win is for Vulcan, it's worth noting that the last time a Support player won a split MVP award in the LCS was all the way back in Summer 2020, when Team Liquid's CoreJJ managed the feat.
Now, almost six years later, Vulcan cracks into an elite club by joining aphromoo and CoreJJ as the only Support players ever to win an LCS split MVP award.

The Canadian has been playing in the LCS since 2019, and has long been considered one of the best Supports in the league. His 2026 Spring Split, however, was something truly special.
Throughout the Regular Season (note that this is a Regular Season award), Vulcan led the team to a flawless 7-0 record to grab the first seed heading into Playoffs. What's more, Vulcan finished the Regular Season with an incredible 10.3 KDA, the highest in the entire league by a wide margin.
He also led all players in the league in assists per game (12.06) and kill participation (82.3%), capping off a remarkable split with a much-deserved MVP award.
