Corbin “C0M” Lee, formerly of Evil Geniuses (EG) VALORANT, has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Argentinian organization Leviatán. If the signing goes through and it becomes official, C0M will play for Leviatán as their official fifth player in the VCT Americas League in 2024. First reports of the Latin American organization’s interest in C0M came from Lembo and Kevin Aiello.

Reporter Alejandro “Anonimotum” Gomis has since reported that Corbin has reached a verbal agreement with Leviatán, indicating that the rumors held merit. For several weeks now, Leviatán has been a subject of controversy following the reports of player dissention and the subsequent rapid and sudden departure of Nozwerr from the active roster.

During this period, C0M was already heavily linked to the Leviatán project as the most likely candidate to replace Nozwerr.

Champion Pedigree

As part of Evil Geniuses, Corbin won VALORANT Champions 2023, becoming the first North American roster to do so. Moreover, EG had an extremely successful 2023 season. Despite being one of the last teams to confirm their roster and a slow start to the season, the addition of Max “Demon1” Mazanov proved to be the catalyst for the entire team’s rapid improvement.

From barely qualifying to Playoffs of VCT Americas, to earning 2nd place at VCT Tokyo and winning VCT Champions 2023. Now, despite their dissolution during the off-season, the roster members are considered amongst the top of their respective roles.

Earlier reports had indicated that Leviatán had been interested in acquiring C0M as early as September 2023, right after Champions. At the time, the fate of EG appeared precarious and their future did not seem likely as they had withdrawn their rosters from their other esports titles - including Counter-Strike, League of Legends, and Dota 2.

Furthermore, this marks the fourth member from the prior EG core to start a new run with another team. Both Demon1 and Ethan “Ethan” Arnold have been announced to be part of the new NRG roster for 2024. Kelden “Boostio” Pupello was just officially announced by 100 Thieves.
