BLAST Bounty Summer 2026: Spirit and MOUZ Fight for the Title

Team Spirit and MOUZ will meet on Sunday, August 2, in the BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 Grand Final in Attard, Malta, wrapping up a tournament that has thrown more than a few surprises along the way.

The best-of-5 decider is scheduled for 12:30 CET, capping a five day LAN stretch that began July 30 and brought together some of the biggest names in Counter-Strike 2.

After a bracket that saw favorites stumble and underdogs push deep into the playoffs, only two teams remain standing, and both have earned their spot the hard way.

Spirit's Grind Through the Bracket

Team Spirit reached the final by grinding through three consecutive best-of-3 series without losing momentum. The Russian roster of donk, sh1ro, zont1x, magixx, and tN1R opened with a clean 2-0 sweep of Team Liquid in the quarterfinals, winning both Dust2 and Anubis comfortably.

Donk was named MVP of that series with a 42-20 K/D record, while tN1R also posted strong numbers on 29-15, showing that the firepower on this roster runs deeper than just its star rifler.

The semifinal against FaZe Clan proved far tougher and gave the first real hint that Spirit could be beaten on the right day. Spirit needed a full three maps to close it out, dropping Cache 9-13 in the middle game before rallying to win the decider on Anubis 13-11 after FaZe had led 7-5 at the half.

That comeback marked Spirit's fourth straight tournament with a top four finish and their first LAN appearance under coach Sergey "hally" Shavaev in 96 days, a milestone that shows how quickly this roster has clicked together under new leadership.

The fact that Spirit could weather an early deficit against a team like FaZe speaks to the mental fortitude this lineup has built over the past year.

MOUZ's Bumpy but Determined Climb

MOUZ's route to the final was even rockier, filled with moments where their tournament run could have ended early. In the quarterfinals, torzsi's squad needed all three maps to survive a scare from 3DMAX, dropping Dust2 10-13 before grinding out an overtime win on Nuke 22-18 and then demolishing their opponents 13-3 on the Inferno decider.

Torzsi was named MVP of that series with a 67-44 K/D, a performance that set the tone for the rest of MOUZ's run through Malta.

In the semifinal, Astralis opted to draft MOUZ as their opponent rather than face the more dangerous Spirit, a decision that ultimately backfired. MOUZ came through against the Danish side to punch their ticket to Sunday's final, giving xertioN, Spinx, xelex, PR, and torzsi a shot at the title against the tournament's most consistent performer.

The win over Astralis ended a week where MOUZ repeatedly found ways to close out tight maps, a trait that will be tested again against a Spirit side built around composure in high pressure moments.

The Trophy on the Line: Who Will Win BLAST Bounty Summer 2026?

Spirit will enter as the more battle tested side on paper, given donk's continued dominance and the roster's run of consecutive top four finishes across recent events, but MOUZ has shown resilience in close, multi map series all week.

The grand final will be a best-of-5, a format that historically rewards depth in map pool and composure under pressure. That format alone could favor Spirit, whose roster has already proven capable of adjusting mid series after falling behind, as seen against FaZe.

MOUZ now turns its full attention to Spirit, the tournament's most consistent performer, with a shot at the trophy on Sunday. Now let's see if MOUZ can carry the momentum from their semifinal win against the tournament favorite or if Spirit's experience and firepower will prove to be too much for them.
