BetBoom Dacha is one of the last two pit-stops for teams as The International 2023 is on the horizon. The tournament hosted by BetBoom Esports and Fissure will feature a 250 000 USD prize pool. It will also feature multiple tier 1 teams such as Gaimin Gladiators, Evil Geniuses and 9 Pandas.

The organisation has hosted some top-tier tournaments in the past, such as BetBoom Universe Comics Zone. However, the organisers decided to spice things up with a new format in BetBoom Dacha. The tournament will be a LAN tournament.

The New Format

The tournament features an entirely new format. It features seven directly invited teams and one team qualifying from the online stages. In the group stages, there are two groups. Each group will have four teams each.

All group stage matches will be a Bo2 (best of 2). The top two teams from each group will advance to the upper brackets. The third-placing team from each group will go into the lower bracket. The team at the bottom of the groups will get eliminated.  The playoff will feature a double-elimination bracket. The playoff matches will be Bo3(best of 3). The grand finals will be a Bo5(best of 5).

Issues

The LAN tournament will take place in Armenia. However, several teams have withdrawn from the tournament. Team Spirit, The International 2021 Champions and Quest Esports, the underdogs from the WEU region, retracted their invites due to visa issues. Thus, TSM and Team Secret came to the tournament as last-minute invites. Moreover, Team Aster from China bowed out as well for undisclosed reasons. Evil Geniuses will be filling their slot.

Where to Watch

Although the official broadcast will be in Russian, there will also be an English broadcast for fans to enjoy. According to some rumours, BetBoom Dacha will have a casual LAN setting like Beyond The Summit. Fans can catch the tournament live on Twitch and YouTube.
