The BetBoom Dacha tournament is on the horizon. The BetBoom tournament is one of the two pitstops for the teams before the inevitable International 2023. As BetBoom Dacha draws near, Team Secret went through a roster shuffle by adding a legendary core player, Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan to the squad.

The Change

Quest Esports, an upcoming Western European team, secured their ticket through the MENA qualifiers. Unfortunately, VISA issues jeopardised Quest’s Dacha hopes, so they withdrew from BetBoom Dacha a week before the tournament started. The organisers brought in Team Secret as a last-minute replacement to fill the void left by Quest Esports.

As it was a last-minute invitation to the tournament and it not being part of the official DPC season, Team Secret took the liberty to assemble a new roster. According to Liquidpedia, Team Secret has yet to lock in their roster. Currently, it only shows Sumail as their midlaner, opening many assumptions about the return of the team’s veteran players.

The Reflection & History

Both parties - Sumail and Team Secret, had a disappointing run at The International 2023 qualifiers. Sumail’s team - Team Aster showed promising results after adding him to the roster. However, at the qualifiers, after falling short to Xtreme Gaming in the upper bracket semi-finals, the team got eliminated by Team Bright in the lower bracket semi-finals. Quest Esports eradicated Team Secret at the WEU Qualifiers Semifinals, ending Clement "Puppey" Ivanov’s record.

Before joining Nigma Galaxy, Sumail was a part of Team Secret. He played a crucial role in the team’s success during their undefeated season. As he returns to Team Secret, there are many rumours about him taking a more permanent role in the future on the team. Furthermore, a player of Sumail’s calibre could threaten the role of the team’s current midlaner, Armel "Armel" Tabios. Adding Team Secret to the tournament makes the BetBoom Dacha more cutthroat. BetBoom Dacha will officially kick off in a week.
