What Is LoLdle?
LoLdle is a daily League of Legends guessing game inspired by Wordle. Instead of finding a hidden word, players try to identify League champions using different clues across five daily game modes.
Some challenges test general knowledge of the champion roster, while others focus on voice lines, abilities, emojis, or splash arts. A new group of puzzles becomes available every day.
How Do You Play LoLdle?
To play LoLdle, choose one of the five daily modes and use the available clues to identify the correct League of Legends champion. Each mode approaches the puzzle differently, so solving them requires different types of League knowledge.
Classic is the most deduction-focused mode. After every guess, LoLdle compares your champion with the correct answer using characteristics such as gender, position, species, resource, range type, region, and release year.
Quote asks you to recognize a champion from a voice line, while Ability uses an ability icon. Emoji turns characteristics of a champion into a sequence of symbols, and Splash Art starts with a cropped section of an in-game splash art that becomes easier to recognize as more of the image is revealed.
How Many LoLdle Modes Are There?
LoLdle has five daily game modes: Classic, Quote, Ability, Emoji, and Splash Art. Each mode has its own champion answer, which means completing one puzzle does not reveal the solution to the other four.
What Do the LoLdle Colors Mean?
In LoLdle Classic, green means an attribute matches the answer, orange indicates a partial match, and red means the attribute does not match. Release year clues can also include arrows that indicate whether the correct champion was released earlier or later than your guess.
Reading those clues together is the key to narrowing down the champion pool. A wrong guess can still provide several useful pieces of information for your next attempt.
How Many Guesses Do You Get in LoLdle?
LoLdle does not limit you to a fixed number of guesses. You can continue entering champions until you find the correct answer, although the goal for many players is to solve each daily puzzle in as few attempts as possible.
What Time Does LoLdle Reset?
LoLdle uses two daily reset times: Europe resets at midnight UTC+2, while the Americas cycle resets at midnight UTC-6. Because these resets happen eight hours apart, players in Europe and the Americas can temporarily see different sets of LoLdle answers.
Once both reset cycles have reached the same puzzle, the answers are identical again until the next regional reset changes one of the active sets.
Where Can You Play LoLdle?
You can play LoLdle for free at loldle.net. The game runs in a web browser, and the five daily modes can be completed separately and in any order.
Is LoLdle an Official Riot Games Game?
No, LoLdle is not developed by Riot Games. It is an independent League of Legends fan project that uses champions, abilities, quotes, emojis, and splash art as the basis for its daily puzzles.
