What is a Champion?

A champion in a League of Legends is a playable character. Each champion has 1 passive and 4 abilities; 3 basic and 1 ultimate. Collectively, this is known as the champion's kit and informs the intended playstyle and fantasy. 

For example, Lissandra is thematically a frost mage and therefore has ice powers to slow down enemies and deal damage to them. There is a wide selection of champions to choose from who each have their own unique gameplay styles.

Who is the Newest LoL Champion?

The newest LoL champion is Locke, the Ashen Exorcist. He was released on June 24 in Patch 26.14 and function as an assassin with a fresh take.
