VCT Pacific 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs Power Rankings: Who Will Win it All?

With the VCT Pacific 2026 Stage 2 Group and Play-In stage wrapped up, the competition moves to double-elimination Playoffs starting August 26. Eight VALORANT teams remain, but only four will qualify for the roadshow at Sajik Arena in Busan.
Based on regular season performance, roster changes, and Play-In form, here is our definitive power ranking of the Playoff contenders, followed by an analysis of the top four favorites to make it to Busan.
VCT Pacific Stage 2 Playoffs: Power Rankings
1. Gen.G Esports
Gen.G remains the undisputed king of Group Alpha. Powered by explosive firepower, they are the region’s gold standard.
Raxcal has been a standout, showing off some incredible performances on Sage and Phoenix, while Ash’s Neon delivered masterclass after masterclass. With a direct Upper Semifinals bye, Gen.G is heavily favored to dominate and qualify for Champions Shanghai.
2. Paper Rex
The Stage 1 champions and dual Masters runners-up are terrifying when clicking. They swept KIWOOM DRX 2-0, including a crushing 13-1 victory on Summit.
Paper Rex’s fluid role swaps make them unpredictable. Something dominates on Sage and Neon, while Jinggg pilots Raze, Omen, and Harbor. Already qualified for Champions Shanghai on points, PRX get to play with absolute freedom.
3. Nongshim RedForce
Nongshim RedForce is peaking at the perfect time. After a slow regular season, they executed a flawless Play-In run, sweeping Team Secret and T1.
Led by veteran Rb’s stable Harbor play and Santiago Masters MVP Dambi slowly coming back to form, their hyper-aggressive style makes them a legitimate upper-bracket threat.
4. T1
T1's season has been a rollercoaster. After stumbling against Nongshim, they displayed elite composure in the Play-Ins lower bracket, sweeping DetonatioN FocusMe and QT DIG∞.
Their balanced play and resilience in high-pressure matches make them extremely dangerous, playoff-hardened contenders.
5. VARREL
The Ascension 2025 promoted squad topped Group Omega. Under C1ndeR and Foxy9, VARREL’s coordinated and disciplined play earned them a direct Upper Semifinals bye.
However, handling competitive rust against warmed-up play-in survivors will be their ultimate hurdle.
6. Global Esports
Global Esports was red-hot in Stage 2, capturing clean 2-0 sweeps over FULL SENSE, RRQ, and ZETA DIVISION.
Even with a coaching change throwing them into turmoil before the split even began, GE has risen to the elite tier. Their biggest challenge is sustaining this momentum and not crumbling under playoff pressure.
7. KIWOOM DRX
KIWOOM DRX have managed to salvage a miserable 1-4 group-stage finish through grit in the Play-Ins.
Now with MaKo reassigned to IGL duties, DRX swept ONSIDE GAMING and battled through tense 2-1 victories over ZETA DIVISION and Sharper Esports, highlighted by clutch plays by rookie Ho-yong "yong" Kim. While resilient, their consistency remains a major vulnerability.
8. ONSIDE GAMING
ONSIDE GAMING come into the playoffs as the sole Challengers team from the Play-Ins.
Despite losing to DRX, they swept Team Secret and FULL SENSE before winning a 2-1 thriller against Sharper Esports. Backed by Oh "Ray" Eun-hyuk's 20+ kill performances, they have zero margin for error in the lower bracket.
Road to Busan: Top 4 Contenders Analyzed
The bracket's ultimate goal is qualifying for the Stage 2 Finals in Busan. Here is how our four target teams stack up:

Gen.G Esports: With a direct Upper Semifinals bye, Gen.G needs just one victory to lock in a top-4 spot. Given their undefeated group stage form and overwhelming mechanical firepower, they are heavily favored to reach Busan.

Paper Rex: Facing Nongshim RedForce in their opener, PRX has the tournament's highest skill ceiling. They historically dominate their opening opponents. Even if they drop an early series, their double-elimination safety net makes them a near lock.

Nongshim RedForce: While their opening match against Paper Rex is a massive hurdle, Nongshim’s flawless Play-In run gives them immense confidence. Crucially, they hold a significant mental edge over potential lower-bracket opponent T1, having swept them 2-0 in the Play-Ins.

T1: Starting in Lower Bracket Round 1, T1 has no safety net. However, they thrive under pressure and boast extensive experience in do-or-die lower-bracket runs. Their balanced chemistry gives them a strong chance to claim the final spot.
The VCT Pacific Stage 2 Playoffs promise to be the most explosive bracket among the remaining three regions.
While Gen.G Esports and Paper Rex carry the heavy expectations as the regional giants, the momentum of Nongshim RedForce and the lower-bracket resilience of T1 mean that absolutely no spot is guaranteed.
